My thought were something like, “oh my god, this cute guy is talking to me!”

  • Wedding: Either Philadelphia City Hall or a small chapel.

Immediately…that he was adorable. He has such a nice smile, too, and…dem dimples, though. Aha.

After we spent a couple hours together:

  • Wicked smart.
  • A gentleman.
  • Really cool. Like before I made a move to flirt and kiss him, I realized his ringtone was “Spiderwebs” by No Doubt. A most excellent music taste.

We later that evening, spent the night together (without going all the way) and he even made me coffee & gave me cabfare in the morning without me asking.

rel318:  I thought he was so mean! We met in highschool and he used to call me Elmo whenever I walked past (I have redhair). I was extremely shy and his friends would laugh at me.

A year after I finished highschool he spoke to me online wanting to know why I wouldn’t talk to him at school because he thought I was cute. Most boys really do not know how to show girls they like them lol!

I thought he was so handome!  I spotted him from across the bar, but didn’t want to approach him.  I though he had to be married or engaged or something.  I saw him go up to the bar for a drink, so I “conveniently” needed one too. He said hi, and I said hi and the rest is history.  His friend kept on saying that he has a boat—you know he has a boat!  Good thing I like boats ๐Ÿ™‚

We started talking and found out we are both from Ipswich—me outside of Boston and him outside of Brisbane.  Seriously??? We’re both from Ipswich 10,000 miles apart?? It had to be fate, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

I looked into his eyes and started shaking. I got goosebumps – I knew he was the one.

First, when I heard the accent I thought “What is this?  An invasion?”  We had a ton of Irish people join our ski club all in the same year and all the new people I’d met that night had been Irish.  I got talking to him and we realized we were in similar fields, so I totally went into work mode setting up training stuff.  And I gave him advice about where to buy ski stuff.  Which he didn’t take, just for the record.  So later, after we were dating, we had to replace everything!  If he’d just listened to me…. ๐Ÿ˜›

I never gave it much thought.  He took a lesson with my best friend (who’s an instructor) and tagged along at our lunch table.  Again, never thought much about it.  We are a loud, obnoxious group and we’ve been friends for 5 years.  It’s hard to for a new person to get a word in edge-wise.  He was just there. I asked him how his lesson was, how was he liking skiing, etc.  Nothing more.

It was at our year end ball that I really saw his personality.  He’s super nerdy.  And I love it.  That’s when I was like, ohhhh this ginger is cute AND smart.  Yes, I’ll give him my number.  It took me a while, I guess.  He knew much sooner!

We met online. I was intrigued by him because he was the only guy to message me for actual conversation (vs all the other guys who just said “you’re hot” or something equally terrible…..it was POF haha). We messaged back and forth for about a week before meeting in person. When we first met up, I thought he was much better looking than his online pictures and so polite and interesting. After our second date I called my mom and said I was going to marry him. I was right!

rel318: We met at a treatment centre. He arrived one month after me and directly following a very near fatal suicide attempt he had made.  My first impression was that he looked really sick, really sad and really lonely. But also that he had the most beautiful blue eyes and kindest smile I had ever seen. I immediately felt like I had always known him. We were inseparable after that.

My first impression was “oh my gosh who is that hottie?!” Then that one day in 7th grade when my best friend at the time had his sweatshirt on and asked if I wanted to wear it (sneaky, sneaky) gave it to me and my bff and I walked out of homeroom together and she said to my Fiance hey! she wants to wear your hoodie!!! And I will never forget the smile he gave me!

Thought he was good looking but totally not my type. I had to be convinced to just give him a shot. During our first kiss I knew it was it!

rel318:  I had always found my SO very attractive. We met at a friends party and went for one date. I ended up dating someone inbetween for 4 years and we reconnected about 6 months after that relationship ended. His style/facial hair etc had changed in that time so when we reconnected it was almost like meeting him for the first time again. He is funny, handsome and very charming.

“Woahhhh he is really tall.” (He’s 6’5″) I also thought his manner of speaking made him sound like a surfer, and he kind of reminded me of my cousin (lol!). Definitely noticed how attractive he was, and we played chess together the first time we met, as well as learned he was a serious athlete, so I was also impressed by his intellectual and athletic abilities.

I thought he was the strong silent type, and he is! He was soooo quiet the night we met because he’s very shy around people he doesn’t know…and also because I was drunk and doing all the talking ๐Ÿ™‚ I also remember thinking he had the most beautiful blue eyes I’d ever seen, even in a dark bar.
