bethhryn:  we were hiking in Door County in the fall, so I was in athletic/yoga pants, a cute zip up, and a fall jacket.

A Lace dress 🙂 I was wearing jeans before leaving the house but my family bullied me into wearing something nicer. It was supposed to be a “bridal shower” for one of my friends so I was naive and just wanted my mom to stop saying mean things about my jeans. haha!

bethhryn:  I was in my pjs too! We’d stayed in on new years eve because my dog hates fireworks and were slobbing out in front of the TV. I had my hair scraped up on top of my head, no make up, a big fluffy jumper, checked pj bottoms and fluffy owl slippers. He also had the foresight to secretly film the proposal on his mac, so I can cringe to myself about my pj choices whenever I like. Haha.

No seriously it was perfect, I just wish I was at least in co-ordinated pjs lol.

I was wearing jeans and a basic top. We were gong to Bowen’s Island (the restaurant in the movie Dear John) for dinner for our 11 month anniversary and he took me to the beach – for a walk he said. He proposed there then we went to dinner.

He proposed on day 4 of a 6 day backpacking/hiking trip – not so glamorous! Leggings, hiking boots, a baseball hat, and several layers of athletic tops.

I was wearing denim capris, a polka dot sleeveless button up from Ann Taylor and bow sandals from Macy’s! I had my outfit planned for weeks since I wanted to wear it when we went to zoo and boathouse row – what a lucky day to wear my new favorite outfit!

We were in Disney on Halloween. He was dressed as Prince Philip, and I was Aurora. He proposed in front of the castle. It was really perfect for us. We love to cosplay and dressing up like that is so fun for us.

My outfit was hilariously terrible! We had just flown into NOLA, and I really wanted to change, but he had the whole hotel room decorated so he wouldn’t let me go to our room. I was wearing baggy comfy capri olive pants, an ill-fitting black tank top, a black cardigan I put on bc I was cold on the airplane, and black and silver Nike sneakers. I had airplane hair and any make-up I slapped on was mostly gone.

Over all though, I really didn’t care. I LOVED our proposal. It was perfect (even if I wasn’t looking my hottest, haha).

I was wearing a tank top and running shorts. We had just hiked up a steep trail while on vacation in Maine.  Not exactly what I had pictured in my daydreams, but he really caught me by surprise 😊

We were at opening day for the Detroit Tigers, and early April in Michigan is still pretty cold! So I was all bundled up wearing a sweatshirt AND a fleece, baseball cap, Tigers scarf, running shoes, and jeans with fleece-lined leggings underneath haha

I had a pretty strong feeling he was going to propose that day (because he is not a planner and he had a whole day planned for us), so I wore a cute patterned dress and did my makeup a little bit. Little did I know that we would be walking around the Botanical Gardens for almost 2 hours…I was sweaty and had SO many mosquito bites, but it was worth it!

I honestly don’t remember because it was two years ago, but I have a feeling I was in chef pants and a white shirt. I was in culinary school at the time and had just come home from class when he decided to ask.
