My Fiance coordinated with my principal to propose during a team meeting. I had no idea it was coming, especially at school! It was a Friday, so I was wearing one of my school staff shirts and jeans. I did have my nails done, but that was just coincidence!

I was wearing water shoes, a bikini, and an elephant cover-up dress lol He proposed at Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica just before we were about to climb up. My nails were done, because I always get them done before vacation.

I got proposed to on the 4th of July and I wasn’t really expecting it, because i decided to go a firework show last minute and it was my idea completely. Then my best friend texted me 10 minutes and asked what we’re doing and told me she wanted to go. Then she asked me what I was wearing and I told her I’m wearing shorts and tank top since we will be sitting on the ground. Then she told me no I need to wear a dress because she’s wearing a dress. So I wore a blue short dress, and he propped during the finale of the fireworks.

I had a knit dress on.  I knew he had just gotten the ring, and he randomly asked me to a nice dinner that.  It wasn’t a surprise.  It was perfect for us though!

A panda beanie.

You read it right. I was wearing a PANDA BEANIE.

Life is so unpredictable – no use trying to control things around me! Lol

I live in a different country. I traveled to the US to spend some quality time with my then boyfriend and his family. They said they would wait for me to celebrate Christmas together. My heart melted!

Fiance and I had talked about rings, so I had a strong suspicion (and fingers crossed) he would propose to me. I just didn’t know when. My bets were either New Year’s Eve or Jan. 14th (our 9-month anniversary). So, I made sure I packed a pretty cream-colored coat to wear on both occasions. 🙂

Well, turns out we celebrated Christmas in the morning of Dec. 28, at my FSIL’s house. His whole family was there: Future Mother-In-Law, Future Father-In-Law, Future Sister-In-Law, her husband, and her two little daughters. The eldest, who is four, loves me to pieces (and so do I, she is a sweetheart). She loves wearing an owl beanie, and I thought “oh, I’m going to wear this fun panda beanie, little niece is going to love it!”. She did love it. Little did I know that I would be proposed to on a Wednesday morning, right after breakfast, at my SIL’s house! Hahahaha

FI’s family members are photo and video enthusiasts, so they basically take pics and videos of everything – this is why I didn’t think anything when they told me they were videotaping the gift exchange.

I gave Fiance a photo book with sweet messages and some of our beautiful pictures together. Fiance gave me THE EXACT SAME GIFT! Hahahahaha I thought I was being original! What is funniest is that both of us chose the same cover picture. 🙂

I took my sweet time reading every page, enjoying every detail, while he and his family fretted and fidgeted. The reason? His photo book to me. On its last page, there was a picture of him at our future wedding venue, in Tahoe, on one knee, holding a sign that read “Will you marry me?”

Everyone was in on the secret but me! And that’s how I ended up being proposed to wearing a panda beanie!

littlemogwai :  Its our engagement anniversary today so my photo from facebook just popped up which is why I can actually answer this today. I was working in the garden super sweaty and gross wearing my “I don’t sweat I sparkle” tank top and yoga pants. I had to paint my nails and do all of my makeup afterwards just to snap that photo hah!

This thread has me so excited! I gave him a ring shortlist in January on his request. We’re going to Venice and Florence for a weeks holiday this Thursday, so I am wondering if it will be then! My nails are always done and I’ve taken more notice to packing than usual as I’ve got no idea if it will be in Italy or what part of the trip!  I am trying to forget about it in case it preoccupies me (yeah right ha). Reading everyone’s stories made me happy though ❤

I was wearing a pair of workout pants and a sports bra. We’d just gone for a hike at a national park on a crazy hot day, and ended up near a river where we took an impromptu swim. He proposed in the water. I didn’t see it coming and neither did he! He knew he was going to propose at some point during the month-long road trip we were on, but hadn’t chosen a particular day: he just waited for a magical moment. It was perfect.

My cap and gown from college graduation LOL. I love that he included some of my nieces and nephews (only had limited tickets or else all 8 of them would have been there) because he knows how much they mean to me <3

I love that there are so many others who were not dressed up when their SOs proposed!

My Fiance proposed the day we moved into our new house. We had just been to Target to pick up some stuff for the house, so I had changed OUT of my nicer clothes and had black running shorts, a San Jose Sharks t-shirt, and sneakers on, hair in a messy ponytail. No makeup or nails done as I wasn’t expecting it at all – I thought he’d propose last October or Novemeber, but he did it in August. It was perfect! 🙂

I was wearing jeans, a winter coat, and a scraft (it was an outside proposal in December).

My nails were actually done (and I NEVER have my nails done) because I had gone with a friend to get manicures earlier that week for our weekly girl’s night. (DH coordinated the proposal with her and her husband, so she knew it was coming – thus why she suggest a mani date.)

A yellow and black dress. He really loved it, and tries to get me to re-wear it, but I haven’t done it, haha! I was only dressed up because he harassed me to do so. It got to the point that I was annoyed about it! He said he was going to take me out. I think to “make up” for a date that we couldn’t go on as planned or something like that. Anyway, I went back and forth wondering if he was going to propose. We got to the restaurant and saw a beautiful chocolate bride in her lovely wedding gown (veil and all) come out of a limo! She was having her reception at the restaurant. It truly was a sign laughing!
