I knew it was coming so my nails and eyebrows were done (I have very bushy eyebrows lol) my girls tricked me and said we were going out so I had on the sexy fitted grey dress and knee high boots because I thought it was girls night so I wish I would have been in something a bit toned down…however I wouldn’t change anything. I was surprised because I thought it was Sunday but it was actually Friday night at union station in Chicago because we are a long distance couple so union station is very significant to us. Lol

Update: I have been told I have to wear something ‘pretty’ on Saturday night and ‘cute’ during the day. I have a soft lilac dress I’m thinking of wearing Saturday night that is pretty as opposed to ‘sexy’. It’s vneck, approx. knee length silky, flowy. Thoughts? Or should I go more fitted? (shameless- I am pretty fit right now so I am not opposed to showing off my body :)).

Anyone have thoughts on a cute day outfit? It’s typical spring weather here, so mid-40s or 50s.

littlemogwai :  My Fiance proposed while we were on an ice fishing trip. He was nice enough to wait until after I had showered (we slept 2 nights on the ice) to propose. I was wearing a sweatshirt, sweatpants, tennis shoes, and wet hair. And its all on video, because it was a huge surprise!

I was wearing a yellow spring dress and a denim jacket as a cover. I had bare nails, which didn’t bother me at all (I rarely, if ever, paint my nails). My hair was in a bun. It was just the two of us, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Yoga pants and a T-shirt.  My husband proposed after I had come home from the gym and was in between stretching in our living room.

Jeans and a heavy coat! We went away for a couple of days, and stopped off at a loch to look at scenery on the drive home. It was beautiful, and he got down on one knee totally unexpected. I love that it was simple and just the two of us.

Fiance hates pictures, so it didn’t matter what I wore; it wouldn’t be caught on camera. I think I was wearing a grey or marroon t-shirt and black distressed shorts the day he proposed. We had just finished a 5k run and I just changed into something comfortable after in the car. Didn’t want to bother with a fancy dress. It was somewhat of a lackluster proposal due to a lot of family drama beforehand. I couldn’t feel excited or tell anybody I was engaged the day of. Thankfully things are a whole lot better now!

we had gotten a hotel room in order to escape my roommate and do interesting things. we were both a bit altered when he took my hands and started talking about how he hadn’t ever wanted a wife before, but he wanted to be with me forever and if i wanted to get married it was okay. i was absolutely stunned and sat there saying “okay… okay,” trying to process it. he thought i was saying yes. we sort of left it there.

a week later we went down to portland for a long weekend. once we’d gotten to our hotel room, he sat me on the bed, took my hands, and said “you are my wife.” he said was certain he wanted to be with me for the rest of his life and asked if i would please marry him. i was not stunned this time and said absolutely yes. at the end of the weekend we went to a drag show; the emcee noticed us and asked what our deal was. we explained, and the whole room went “awwwww…” it was really cool, and we received the blessing of a drag queen.

the first time he asked, i was wearing a fuschia onesie with black stars on it. he was wearing my white fluffy onesie with ears. i have adorable pictures of him that i am forbidden to ever post on the internet. the whole thing, both times, was just perfect.

littlemogwai :  He proposed on Leap Day in a botanical garden. I was wearing jeans and a nice top. It was a complete surprise and I just happened that I did my nails the weekend before. 12764909_10153511767758284_8991774878598082395_o
