I bought a bejewelled cat food dish for my cat – who is not coming to the wedding, but I wanted him to have something special to eat out of on the day!

I was determined to DIY our centerpieces with fake flowers, even though I’m not very good with crafty stuff. I’m not even sure how much I ended up spending on fake flowers but I never could come up with something I liked and we went in an entirely different direction for our centerpieces in the end. We didn’t use any of the flowers. Oh well.

I couldn’t justify in my mind spending the money on Frou Frou Chic ribbon for bouquets only because I’m a perfectionist when it comes to color and they all looked so similar. So I decided to make my own. But I had to buy all kinds of different fabrics to test on and a few different dyes. I spent way too much time and money on it when I should’ve just bought the damn ribbon.

wildflowergypsy :  We just threw them out. We moved 9 hours away after the wedding and weren’t taking that crap with us!

I went through so many centerpiece ideas and spent so much on random glass. Luckily I could reuse a lot of it for my candy buffet, but wish I hadn’t changed my mind so much.

I also spent 100 dollars on a bouquet holder, which I don’t regret. Did I need it, nope, but I loved it.

A countdown sign for our wedding. At least it will get used for the next 500+ days.

So far, I guess the only kind of dumb thing would be the bride/groom T shirts I bought to wear the morning of. We’re not even having bachelor/ettes, so it’s a few hours in those shirts and that’s it.

Maybe I’ll resell them on kijiji.

wildflowergypsy :  not exactly. I wanted the color to be a dustier version but I was just done messing with it and running back and forth to the fabric store. But my bouquet also turned out nothing like I imagined. I wanted it tinyyyyyy and the co,ors to be subdued but oh well! And the florists here are very traditional (the south) and were confused that I wanted European rustic, not burlap and mason jar rustic. My florist :the day of was like “Omg your ribbon is all tattered and frayed!” And I told her that was the look lol. I was trying to upload a picture but my IPad isn’t playing nice!

I’m about to drop $$$ on a signature cocktail sign with my two cats painted on them… 😐 I don’t even feel bad. I love my cats and I’m going to hang the sign afterward.
