Gift bags for the guests were a waste.

LondonAutumn :  I’m crying, these are amazing. I should have got veils for mine!

Dumbest thing we spent money on was probably hiring some rose trees for the ceremony space. I don’t even remember seeing them lol

My Mum wasted a fair bit of money on little perspex hearts with our name on, and personalised rock candy. Both of which we forgot to take to the venue. It’s ok though, because DH hated the hearts anyway haha

Chinese sky lanterns that I learned later my venue didn’t allow. 3 years later….they are still in my guest room closet.

beaniebee :  do you have a picture? We are having cat cake toppers and I’d love to incorporate cats a bit more into the wedding subtley without it becoming too “crazy cat couple”

HAIR. My stylist talked me into a full set of tape in extensions, I should have just got a nice set of clip ins for like 1/8 of the price. Now I have this ridiculous bag of hair that I could use again but probably never will.

A separate set of engagement photos.  We are doing a destination wedding and flying in a photographer that is not local, they include a day before or after session in the price of the wedding package, but we want local pictures taken here too.  I wish I could get a credit for the extra session with the destination photog, but its a freebie built into the price.  We will have pics taken here in Florida in November, a day before session in the mountains/forest in Tahoe in June, and then the day of the wedding at the lake.  No idea what we will do with all the pictures, but at least we will have lots of variety in the scenery.

LondonAutumn :ย  omg, your dog wore a wedding dress to your wedding! She was totally trying to steal your thunder! (Joking, of course. Adorable picture, adorable dog, and totally worth it for the pictures!)

Out of town guest bags. Waste of time, money and energy putting them in hotels all over Santa Barbara.

Customized signs from Etsy for our ceremony. They looked wonderful in the pictures but we have absolutely no use for them outside of our wedding lol.
