I like shopping with my mom and grandma because they buy things for me lol. But typically, I like to shop alone. I like being able to go at my own pace and go to stores/departments I want to go to without being sidetracked or forced to go to places I don’t really care about.

I prefer when i’m browsing to shop alone. Like if I know I am going to go into at least 2 – 3 stores for sure, I’ll go it on my own. But if I need something specific, like a dress for an event, etc, then I like to take my Fiance with me. He has good taste and picks things that look good on me 9/10 times. I never end up returning the items I buy when I’m with him usually.

My girlfriends and I go shopping together all the time, but we shop alone.
We go to the Mall together, then go our separate ways with plans to meet up again at a set time and place. Sometimes we meet at one of the stores that has great change rooms and do a fashion show for each other. If we hange our mind on anything, we are still in the Mall so returns are easy.
Other times we just have lunch after. Either way, it’s a fun day.

lilchicana: YES. That’s what makes shopping with other ladies so awkward. They think it’s super easy if you’re skinny but it isn’t, and if you complain about it you sound like a total b*tch. I guess if I had a my size friend I’d go shopping with her, that would be pretty fun actually but unless I start befriending 7th graders I don’t think that’s going to happen, lol.

BurlapnLace: MY SO! We are each other’s best friends and we love doing almost everything together 🙂 Grocery shopping is a date, clothes shopping is an awesome date where we get to help the other look the best they can (and it can cue lots of other fun things too!!) and all home/personal purchases are also done together because its a lot of fun to share in picking things out for the house, or even introducing the other to a new hobby (e.g. I love crafting, and Fiance and I love hitting up Michaels for a project!). Shopping, as with many other seemingly menial things, are amazing amazing opportunities to spend time together talking and laughing. I think I may be one of the odd bees out.. but I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

I like shopping with my Fiance. He has great taste. Although his tastes are more expensive than mine.. So I usually end up with nicer things than what I’d buy when alone. Hard to complain about that though, he enjoys shopping and encourages me to buy things. It could be worse.
Other than him, I like shopping with my mom because she’s brutally honest. Other than that.. I don’t find shopping fun enough to make it a pasttime with friends. I lunch and ‘shop’ with friends often but its mostly just drinking, eating, and poking around at high end handbags.

My SO. Most of the time, what we need to buy is for the household, so it makes sense that we go to the mall together and decide what we should purchase together. Since we have similar tastes, it’s an easy process. We don’t shop for clothes that often, but when we do, it’s most likely me who wants to buy new stuff, and it doesn’t bother him to come along and to keep me company. He’s a gentleman, he always carries my bags, lol ! I trust his opinion when it comes to the clothes I try on, and he also helped me choose my wedding dress. He’s a good shopping buddy !

HippyBunniesinLove: We are each other’s best friends and we love doing almost everything together Grocery shopping is a date, clothes shopping is an awesome date

LOL, same here ! I’m glad someone else mentioned it, I was afraid it would sound weird. Let’s not forget about the awesome lingerie shopping dates, which my Fiance would never ever want to miss. 😉

NauticalDisaster: Hahah yayy!! Glad someone else has a similar situation 🙂 It’s a pretty sweet deal. Also, I totally agree about the clothes shopping. Fiance looooves picking out clothes for me to try on and he’ll disappear into the store while I try things on and come back with armfuls – “maybe try these?” and I cannot resist. It’s adorable.

I prefer shopping alone, but then I get freaked out that I’ll pick stuff I don’t end up liking, but I buy it just because it’s on sale. I usually go with my Darling Husband and he picks out the best clothes for me and tells me if something looks bad which I totally appreciate. And the reason I know he picks the best clothes is because I never get compliments on things I pick out myself…only on items that he chooses lol.
If my sister is around, we like to go together, but only if we both are looking for specific items. We tend to want to leave ASAP and go find something to eat hahaha.

I prefer to shop alone because it’s faster and more efficient. However, I hate shopping and do most of it online.
