I haven’t had a really bad cut, but my worst hair disaster was a bleaching incident that left me looking like a pumpkin!

Where do I start?

When I was 9 I took a scissor to my bangs to cut a hair that I thought was out of place. I ended up with jagged bangs to the center of my forehead. When we got home (we were out of town visiting my grandmother and had a plane ride that day) my mom took me to get my hair cut and the woman literally cut my bangs to the top of my hairline and then cut off my long beautiful hair so that it would balance out a little. It was honestly horrifying. Good thing was it was mostly in the summer though.

Also when I was younger I had a boy haircut. I guess you could say it was a pixie cut, but not as cute. My mom flipped out over it, loved it. In retrospect I guess it was cute, but really not my style. My mom always let me decide what I wanted to do with my hair, and I think that haircut sprung out of a cut I thought would be a good idea: a bob, with one side longer than the other. I think I was 8 or 9, so trendy i was. I remember the hairstylist fixed it up for me for like an hour because I wasn’t happy at all and in the end the boy haircut is what sprung out of it.

I had a bad habit of growing my hair out beautifully and then decided to chop it off and absolutely regretting it the second I did it. I’ve had some haircuts I purely haven’t liked before, but those take the cake.

Oh and when I was in 10th grade I went to Super Cuts and got a horrendous haircut. The woman actually butchered my actual hair, but did an amazing job on my bangs. I had the bangs of my dreams. So until the hair grew out, I wore my bangs down and my hair in a ponytail, no matter where I was. I actually can’t believe I survived that as a hormonal teenager, especially since as I got older and my hair became more and more a part of my identity, I would never wear it in a ponytail. I’m a hair down kind of girl.

ETA: Oh and should I mention the blonde highlights? I did them myself from about 9th – 11th grade. I had a blonde streak across my bangs. When I was about 19 I did everything from pink streaks, then went to my natural chocolate brown, then ombre, then to very dark black and then finally back to my natural brown for the wedding. Now I’m purely dark, thankfully.

I’m hoping these will work. These are from my photobucket, which I haven’t used in forever. anyways, when I was about 15, I got the great idea to cut my hair in the weirdest way possible. I left my bangs long, and then did the back short and spikey. AND then I dyed the back green. It was awful. Here are some great photos of me as a typical 15 year old who thought life was SOOO hard.

You can see the green in this one.

I just shake my head thinking about that cut.

It was one I gave myself. I decided I wanted short bangs, but they turned out a LOT shorter than I wanted. Too short to even pin back in fact. I don’t have any pictures, I refused to be in any photos during that time, but it was BAD.

I haven’t touched my own hair since.

I have thick, curly hair, and when I was 15 I went in for a trim and came out with a bob

It was horrible! I had to straighten it every day and even then it still was out of control.

I now keep my hair LONG, and stay away from dumb hair stylists 🙂

When I was pregnant my hair became really long and drove me nuts…I wanted a short “bob” cut (just below the neck)….The hairdresser realised that my hair was really curly when it got wet, so she cut it short to the point where the curls where stuck to my head….I looked like a male poodle. I cryed for 2 days straight.
