My last job was in infant care, so I could take as much unpaid time off as I wanted! But the pay was awful. I’d rather make more than get more paid time off!

@MechEBee:  More money! We accrue PTO every two weeks and there isn’t a set limit on amount of hours, so if I have 190 hours I can take as much as I want any time I want, and I acrrue 5.5 hours every 2 weeks.

So it’d be wonderful to make more money! LOL

@MechEBee:  Definitely more time off! I work almost 60 hours a week now. I would love to have time for hobbies, or maybe just to sit and do absolutely nothing for a while!

Our office is open 8-6, so 50 hour work weeks. I’d prefer more time off – either 9-5 or Fridays off! There aren’t enough hours in a day to work, relax from work, make dinner, do chores, do something fun, etc!

I say more money only because I work from home 50% of the time – so that kind of feels like time off, even though I’m working. If I had to go into the office 5 days a week then I would definitely take time off over more money. My time is worth more than most things.

@MechEBee: I agree with you! Whoever invented the 5 day work week is an asshole. My primary job would be perfect if I had a regular schedule because the shifts are 12 hours long, so I’d only have to work a few days a week. But my position is only casual so I have to work that much more at two jobs 🙁

I actually made this decision a few months ago. I was working 80-100 hour weeks for good money, but I took a job paying 35% less but working only 50ish hours.  I am lucky to still make decent money. It is so nice to not work weekends and having time to work out.  I am significantly less stressed. Even though I miss the money (especially with planning a wedding), I wouldn’t go back.

More money since they are pretty generous with time off anyway. As long as I am earning the time off I am good to go.

I have a pretty flexible schedule and I have a really hard time taking a vacation day unless I will be out of time so I would say more money!

@MechEBee:  both! I’m on the clock constantly and days “off” don’t really exist and I definitely don’t make as much money as I should!

More time off. We are quite comfortable already with the amount of $ we each make, but I only get 6.5 weeks off… NOT ENOUGH.

Well, considering I don’t have a job… definitely more money.

More time off/flexibility. Ever since my old manager left and I report to the VP my flexibility has gone in the shitter and my job satisfaction along with it.
