Just for fun, been I have been curious. My first phone ever was a razor, and we all used to think that thing was sooo cool. Obviously time has passed and I have had a few upgrades since then. I have always had Verizon, with my parents plan, and now that I have my own plan.
Anywho! Brings me to my point I guess. I got my first iPhone in January of last year, after a couple of droids. A lot of people said I’d hate it, but they couldn’t have been more wrong! I was pretty upset when a few months ago, it fell out of the waist band of my shorts (not the safest place, I know) shattered. I had a cheap case on it, and the case was actually cracked before it had it’s fatal fall, so the only reason it shattered was because it landed on an unprotected corner. Most shattered iPhones I see are still fully functional, but mine had cracked in a way that it actually drew blood. 🙁 I had a warranty through best buy, and I got a refurbushed one. Y ou know how refurbs are, broken right out of the box. It gave me nothing but problems. But it was better than having a phone cut me. Well, few days later, I found my phone on the kitchen floor, strangely enough. When I picked it up, once again, cracked 🙁 still fully functional though, well, functioned as well as a poorly refurbished phone would anyway!
Well, last Saturday, the unthinkable happened. I was getting ready to go to a Jeff Dunham show with my fiancé, dad, and stepmom. I had jeans on, and sore hands, so instead of unbuttoning to use the bathroom, I quick tries to “scoot” them down. All while in a rush, I hear a plop! Bye bye phone! Fiancé asked me what I had pooped out! Haha. I couldn’t get a new refurb from best buy again, due to not updating my payment information for the warranty. Luckily, fiancé had and upgrade, that he was willing to let me use. 🙂
I decided I was over iPhones. I drop them, I crack them, they go swimming, and my reburb gave me a bad taste for them. I saw the new windows phone by htc. I was all for it! I heard the App Store was lacking, but didn’t think it could be that bad. I was proved completely wrong. The home screen was awesome, but the battery wouldn’t last until lunch at work, and had 2 of the 20 apps I was used to. It wasnt a comfortable fit to my hand, and my texts worked half the time, and picture messages never worked. I missed my iPhone so much that week that I went without it before I exchanged it. 35 dollar reststocking fee, and I’ve learned my lesson that I am now and will forever be a part of the apple “iwhatever” cult!
what phone do you have? Do you like it? Any problems with your carrier?
(Btw, I got a REALLY good case for this one)
I know I can’t name every phone out there, but let me know what I am missing!
