After extensive alcohol training at my last job, I’m now a beer lover all around, and I really like to try out local beers. However, before I was “into” beers, my favorite was Franziskaner…it’s a beligian style wheat beer, with heavy banana and clove notes. Delicious. Hoegaarden is very similar.

I am also a non-beer-drinker who likes Sam Adams cherry wheat!  Some others I’d recommend are Michelob Ultra’s flavored beers and their new cider which is hard to find but great, Leinenkugel’s “summer wheat” or something (fruity pebbles flavored!), and any kind of Cherry Lambic, such as Three Philosophers.

I like ciders more, especially Hardcore and there is a pear cider I cant remember the name of, but it’s delish too.

I LOVE beer! If you want a lighter beer that is slightly more “girly,” I really enjoy Dogfish Festina Peche, although it can be a little tricky to find.

Right now I’m into trying all the Oktoberfests and pumpkin ales. You might like the pumpkin-y-spice-ness of Pumking Ale from Southern Tier, if you’re enjoying the wheatiness and spice of the Cherry Wheat. Leinenklugel’s also makes some great wheat based fruit beers.

I don’t know about a ‘girl’ beer though..I know lots of guys who drink light, citrusy, or malty beer and lots of girls who drink dark, heady, or hoppy beer, so for me, there’s no segregation for what girls drink and what guys drink.

Ohh that sounds good! I love all beer, but my favorite “girly” beer would be summer shandy. So delish! Mich ultra light apple cider is amazing as well.

@abirdword:  YES those Lindemans are barely beers, they are like drinking fruit juice… love them!!  Other than that, I enjoy Guiness for about 2 sips and then I’m done…

The first time I drank beer was when I was visiting my dad in Nova Scotia when i was about 11 years old. I was given a sip of Moosehead… that’s the only beer I like. First love really exists eh? LOL

You know that’s a seasonal beer, right? San Adams changes its rotation every season. It may not be around when your wedding happens, sadly. I used to live in Boston, so the new seasonal brews were a big deal!

Ooooh Sam Adams Cherry Wheat was the beer that actually transitioned me into liking beers! Pyramid Apricot Ale is also fairly amazing.

I’m super excited for all the fall beers. My favorite is Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. Can’t wait!
