So, as I wrote in earlier posts, my fiancee is out of town until two weeks before the wedding.
Now I just got a job offer that puts me overseas until two weeks before also. I almost didnt take it but I REALLY need the money because I am WAY over budget and have my credit card to pay.
My wedding is in four months and I have two weeks before I leave. I just ordered the veil and confirmed that the alterations to my dress are slight and can be done two weeks out.
I have all my vendor picked and I can correspond by email.
I have ordered the invitations, my mom will pick them up and do the calligraphy and I also met with the printer to explain what I want for the menus, programs etc.
The marriage liscense will be done the day after we get back. Hotel is picked, however hair makeup and transportation is not.
For those of you two weeks out or who are already married (or anyone) what could possibly creep up that I need to take care of! Anything you can think of that i left out!!!!!
Am I CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you think of things, make a list, draft your emails and save them in your word processing program. Then when you are on the Internet, you can save a lot of time and expense by just copying and pasting your message into the email.

Two weeks is long enough to find the vendors you’re missing and then the big things will be finalizing the decisions before the wedding.

You’ll be ok. My situation has been similar, though not the same. I’ve had a more than full course load since I’ve gotten engaged (me being crazy and wanting to graduate early) and so while school is in session I have absolutely no time for wedding stuff. Everthing I’ve done has been on a few days over breaks here and there. I won’t be done with school until 2 weeks before the wedding, its gonna be crazy haha, but I think it’ll all work out.
See if your friends/ fam can help with picking out hair makeup if you can’t get it done before. Make sure you can schedule tastings (if you need to) before or after you go. Oh, find out when your final headcount is due for your reception, make sure you have someone to handle rsvps and get the headcount in if its before you get back. Check out a wedding checklist on the knot or something to see if there’s anything else you’re forgetting! good luck!
