Fi found out today that he’s getting transfered from Ohio to AZ. In June. So, thankfully we’ll still have a few months before the wedding, but now we’ll be across the country from where we’re getting married! I know we won’t be the first people to do this, but it’s still scary.
Fiance has never lived that way before, I grew up in SoCal. He has NO IDEA how hot it’ll be.
I’m not excited yet, I don’t want to go, but it’s a huge huge deal for him, so I’m working on it.

Good luck to you and your Fiance on this move. I hope that it all works out smoothly!

I love AZ, I think itll be great! What part of AZ? And the planning becomes slightly different, but I wouldnt say its that difficult to plan while you arent that close. I planned almsot everything from far away with only 3 total trips to my hometown. Def doable!
And Quil will LOVE AZ!

@KellyV: I hope so, he loves the snow so much, but there will be so much stuff for him to see and do out there!
They’re moving us to Chandler, AZ, I’ve never been there, I have no idea what it’s like!
Luckily, the multi-city plane tickets aren’t too much more than what we were looking at for our honeymoon, so no problems there!

I moved across the country from PA to WA, a year before my wedding. My wedding was in PA but luckily I had friends and family that really helped me out. It will be hard but all the hard work will be worth it in the end.
My Darling Husband actually followed me out to WA. It was my job we were moving for. It was an hard on him because he was the one who was moving for me. All of my family and friends were very supportive of my move because they knew it was really good for my career. But his family and friends were sort of the opposite, they didn’t want him to move. So it was tough on all of us. By the way, we both made the decision to move. I would have turned down the job if he didn’t want to go. But even after his family and friends knew we made the decision to move, some still gave him a hard time. In the end, I felt like the bad person. 🙁
ETA: I also understand that if it was my Darling Husband who got the job and I had to leave my friends and family, I would probably would have gotten the same response from my family.

I am going thru the same thing too! It is scary, but at least we have awesome men to go thru it with. Plus, it is such a blessing to have a job in this economy. I keep telling myself that everything always work out for the good, and I pray everyday for God’s will to be done and for the strength to handle any situtation.
I’ve been dealing with it for about a month now and it is getting better with time. According to his offer letter, he was supposed to be in Texas, but he received an email and a few days later he was in Oklahoma.

@trugem: Fiance grew up in Tulsa, and he knows just about everything about it. I don’t know where in OK you’re going, but if it’s near Tulsa, send me a PM, and I know he’d love to answer any questions you have! He just loves talking about Oklahoma 🙂
