autumn2019 :  I can see what you mean about looking “flat.” It’s a gorgeous stone but definitely doesn’t compare to your diamond. Beautiful in its own right, but lacks the depth of a diamond. I agree that no one could ever tell the difference unless they were really looking and had a diamond to side by side compare. The double refractive properties of Moissanite can make them look “fuzzy” or “hazy” sometimes so I think that’s the dull/flat look you’re seeing in certain lighting. That last picture is stunning and I love the band you’ve paired it with!

ETA: I am not knocking Moissanite in any way! I plan on buying some for a three stone ring I’m having made. I just wanted to clarify in case my response came across snarky. They’re beautiful but don’t always look like a diamond, and that’s ok! 🙂

autumn2019 :  thank you so much for your response and the pics! Yeah I’ve never seen one in person before, so this is super helpful. Like michellelynn said yeah it does look a bit hazy compared to the diamond, and you’re right I’m sure no one would really notice but still this gives me something to think about.
