I use mine mostly for baking. I love being able to whip up a cheesecake or cookies in like 5 minutes! It’s also good for shredding chicken if you cook up a bunch.

Ive been using mine for lots of bread- we’ve done pizza 3 or 4 times and french bread a few times as well. We also got the meat grinder attachment and I’ve been using it to grind up basically everything (eggs for egg salad, meat for meatloaf, etc.)

When I’m on a bread kick, I also make some compound butters in my mixer. Recipes from Brown Eyed Baker — but once you get started with flavors and add-ins, the sky is the limit!

@kcr526:  I’ve never baked meringues before- do you have experience? I have a stellar oven finally and now with the kitchenaid the kitchen is almost complete!!

How about make something for thanksgiving and put it in the freezer so you can take it out later?

Maybe pumpkin sweet buns or a cheesecake.

I recently made some molasses cookies with a dollop of hazlenut spread in the middle.

@kcr526:  Just an FYI… I made meringues one time and they fell flat.  I found out from FI’s awesome baker mom that if there is any humidity or moisture outside, that affects the baking of them. 


My favorite thing to do with my mixer is use the whip attachment to whip things… literally I will just put softened butter and herbs in it to mix up an awesome herb butter.  That thing is like the best toy ever!
