I’ve never done one of these candles (they look like fun though!) but from what I remember other bees saying, I think that if the metal isn’t stamped it’s fake. Still pretty though!

it still could be real if it isn’t stamped, but it’s less likely. It’s also possible that the border stones could be fake and center real, or vice versa.

plastic jewels will have blunted edges, less sheen, and maybe already show light scratches.

glass will get scratched by glass, but then again, i’m not familiar with the hardnesses of the variety of real stones that might be -some might get scratched by glass too, and i could understand not wanting to just start scratching away at it, especially as you like the way it looks regardless of what it’s made out of.

Most real stones have flaws in them. Look closely at the red stone for asymmetric flaws inside it.

Regardless, it’s pretty, which is more than I can say for the two I got!

Do you end up getting the rings often? I heard about this but never tried it out

I’ve never heard of this before, but I’m intrigued. . .

Oh my goodness, I just looked up the candles. They are SO cool! I’ve never heard of them before. I think they would make great Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts!

I doubt it’s real if the metal is not stamped. even if it was sterling silver, it would be stamped. honestly, I wouldn’t even get it appraised. appraisals are expensive. wear it for a few weeks first. if it’s low quality, then it’s probably plated and that will start to wear or chip off. buf if the ring still looks good after a few weeks, then it might be good enough quality to warrant an appraisal.

no matter what it’s worth, it’s a very pretty ring!

@Ms.Pink:  Ah interesting. Have you ever gotten a diamond ring? Or know people who did
