    @littletop:  I do, every time.  My mom worries I’m going to forget it but I’m ALWAYS thinking about it when it’s off.  If I’m in a public place I slip it into a purse or jean pocket.

    I don’t know if I do it out of care for my ring or because I hate the feeling of water stuck under it and having to clean it more often because of soap residue.

    @littletop:  Thanks!!

    I actually had the rings soldered (sp?) together so they are one now πŸ™‚

    @littletop:  I used to take it off, now I don’t. It stays cleaner that way, but I’m not sure how good it is for it. If I do take it off, I slip it in my pocket or purse so I don’t forget it. The main reason I took it off is because my last wedding band fit a bit tighter so moisture would stay underneath the ring. My current rings aren’t as tight and I dry underneath them so it isn’t an issue.

    I take mine off everytime.  And I’m always super crazy about cleaning it with my jewelery cleaner every morning before I leave.  #ocd

    @littletop:  Sure, I love sharing it πŸ˜€

    I had them put together because the dip in the band to accomodate the center stones setting kept moving all around.  Plus the smaller stones on the bands only go halfway around, so the OCD in me liked to keep them aligned.  I don’t mind the idea of a gap in between rings, but IDK if putting them together would be an option — maybe other bees can advise you on that.

    I don’t take it off just to wash my hands.

    Don’t laugh, but this is my theory:

    You wash your hands to clean them. If I need to wash my hands (i.e. after using the potty), those same germs are probably on my ring too…lol

    I take mine off to shower because it’s not very tight and gets caught in my hair. I also take it off when I put on self-tanner. Otherwise, I pretty much never take it off. I have never heard of someone damaging their ring, but I’ve heard countless stories of people losing them…

    I have a white sapphire, too.  And I’ve noticed that when the stone looks a little dull, if I clean the underside of the stone, then it sparkles and looks incredibly clear!  I’ve been using a soft toothbrush with hot water to clean it.  The brush should not scratch the stone – a sapphire IS a 9.  πŸ˜‰

    I don’t wear my ring everyday, though.  I just forget to wear it.

    @littletop:  I never take mine off. It feels like a part of my finger. My jeweller takes it every 6 months for a cleaning and inspection, but other than that it is always on.

    @littletop:  I take mine off when I’m at home cleaning, doing dishes, or showering (not in the bath tho, because I don’t touch my hair in the bath). I have a little dish beside my kitchen sink and bathroom sink that I put them on so I never lose them. I NEVER take mine of outside of my house for fear of losing them! I also agree with MissCountryGirl727, I’m sure there is a wealth of bacteria living in the nooks and crannies of rings, so I just make sure to dry under my ring after washing my hands. I also think that once I have my engagement ring for a while I will stop being so anal about it and start learning to love the wear and tear (it’s a sign that you’ve been married a long time I guess!).

    @littletop:  I take mine off when I go to bed and then do not put it on the next morning until after I shower.  I put in in the ring box from the jeweler everynight- very cheesy but I figure that way it won’t get dusty or knocked around.
