Oh no I’m so sorry!  What kind of site was the classified listed on?  I’d email the seller and see if they will take a return for a 100% refund but the chances are low.  If not, see if you can contact the site to find out what kind of recourse you have.  If nothing else, be sure to post a really horrible review, assuming the site allows for that.  I’m glad you hadn’t spent a huge amount of money on it but still, money is money.

definitely.  did you pay with paypal? if so, you can definitely dispute it there or with the credit card issuer as the product is not as it was described.  also see what you can do about returning it to the seller and asking for a complete refund.

hey VDB – is it possible that the veil just didn’t travel well? I know a lot of birdcage veils need to be reshaped (if it’s the crumpling that’s bothering you); a lot of vendors recommend steaming them and stretching them over a balloon (or other round object) to give them the right shape.

Hope this turns out okay!

Oh, I misunderstood what you meant by THIS site, oops!  I’m sorry that happened, it is disappointing but maybe it can be fixed, as daydreamwanderer mentioned.  I hope it works out :o)

I’m not sure; I’ve never tried it.

I think that tip (deep in my brain) came from an etsy seller, who suggested stretching the veil over a balloon then letting it hang out in the bathroom during your next hot, steamy shower. The steam will naturally help it some.

You could try googling ‘how to reshape a birdcage veil’ (is it birdcage? or tulle? or lace? or what?) and see what comes up. I’m not a reliable source, haha.

what was the seller that sold you this item?  you should definitely put their name out there to save other brides and to alert the bees what’s going on. that’s definitely not the practice on this site.  can you post pictures of it so that we can see exactly what it looks like?
