As per previous posts, I ordered a dress from Dressilyme on June 15th and they just told me it’s ready and sent these photos!
I must say I am surprised how good it looks! i absolutely love it! I was fearing a badly-done neckline or misplaced straps. Anyway, I was going to just thank them and tell them to go ahead and send it to me, but on closer inspection, I am wondering if I should ask about the following:
1. Is the beading on the belt area kind of uneven? (do you see this or is it just me? do you think it would be a pain to fix for them? I don’t want to nitpick or cause them too much more work.)
2. Can the ribbon in the back be made longer so that it will fit all the loops?
I’d love to know what you guys think and whether you notice anything else!

I’d ask how long the ribbon is, it looks like the looped it around to the front so it wouldnt be in the way when you look at the back.
very pretty dress!

@Jezika: I think it looks great! Is it a Mori Lee replica…seems like I tried on a very similar dress that was by mori lee that looked a lot like it!
I was thinking of ordering a dress from them and I just got back an email and they told me that they didn’t send out pictures but I see that they sent you pictures…..that is strange why they told me that….

It is very pretty! But I do think you should definitely ask about the ribbon length in the back. As far as the other concern, it’s hard for me to tell if the beading in the front is uneven. It may just be how it is sitting on the mannequin. However, if you’re concerned about it, it couldn’t hurt to ask. 🙂

I think the belt/beading does look uneven, but other then that it looks amazing!!

So pretty! I looks like the ribbon is long enough, it is just pulled the front of the dress and wasnt pulled through all the loops.
The beading looks a little uneven, but that could be just the way it is sitting on the mannequin.
IMO, you are a paying customer and this is one of the biggest purchases in your life! It certainly cannot hurt to ask the questions! I would ask them to be sure that the beading is even, as it looks a bit uneven in the pictures. And, I would ask them if the ribbon will be long enough to fit through all of the loops.
They may just reply and confirm that the beading is even and the ribbon is long enough, but the confirmation will put your mind at ease! Or, they may go back and fix these things if they are not to your liking…also putting your mind at ease!

The dress looks gorgeous! The beading does look a bit off, I would ask them about that.

Wow I must say the dress came out really nice !!! I’m not a fan of dresses with straps but this I like! I do agree when looking at the dress straight on it does look like the band of beading dips down along the left side looking “uneven”. It’s slight BUT details like this would bother me so I would definately inquire. Like another bee said … it might just be the way the dress is positioned on the mannequin but I would still inquire … better to be safe than sorry!

@weddingbound: Yes, it’s a Mori Lee replica! I had the same thing with the photos too. They literally said no two or three times but I kept on insisting. I read that another Bee found the same. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s their unofficial policy to decline a certain number of times during their busy season and hope people give up. If you’re persistent, they will agree and tell you it will take longer to make the dress, but it still took less time than it was even meant to (and same for another Bee in the same situation that I read about). If it helps, I pasted my conversations with them at the bottom of this thread.

I almost ordered that exact dress…and I was concerned with that ribbon too, I would definately bring ask about the details, it’s YOUR wedding. As long as your not bridezilla they should be willing to work with you.

I LOVE it!. It looks perfect! I’m going to order from dressily me, just not sure what dress ^.^

@Jezika: Thanks I guess I will be very persistent!!
I actually just created a thread for this as well….guess I’ll just bug the crap out of them!!!
DRESSILYME….Questions. Can you please HELP Bees
Post # 14
@weddingbound: Definitely be persistent. I honestly was going to give up myself (certainly after two times anyway) until I read a post about how another Bee talked them into it. I am SURE they will agree eventually. Good luck!

Ya the belt looks like it’s a bit crooked to me. I think the length of the ribbonw ould be ok once it’s tied up but can’t hurt to ask!

I think it looks beautiful thus far, but I would inquire about the beading if it seems a bit off to you. =)
