So, I was shopping on-line at giltfuse.com and stumbled across this great little dress! I thought to my self, “I have to have it!”… Problem is, I already have my wedding dress for America (Maggie Sottero – Milana), my wedding dress for Germany (a short little 50’s number from Unique Vintage) and what I thought was my rehersal dinner dress that I bought on sale at BeBe for $40, originally $175. (A bit dress obsessed, I know… But any excuse for new dress and matching shoes!)
Now, that I have found this dress, my BeBe dress has changed to my Bridal Shower and/or Bacholorette Party dress and I have claimed this bad-girl as my own!
Convincing Mr. Birdie was not as hard as I thought it would be… I called him in Germany, made him log on-line straight away and said, “Sugar, wouldn’t this dress be perfect for our rehersal?”… His first response, bless his heart was, “Babe, why are you showing me? I thought I wasn’t supposed to see your dresses until the day you wear them…” My response, “Well, this is just for the rehersal and I really want your opinion… Isn’t it perfect!”… He agrees and then suddenly remembers, “Didn’t you already buy your rehersal dinner dress at BeBe?”… Of course I say, “No, no silly… That dress is for the bridal shower.”
Then, sweetheart that he is, he says, “Ok babe, its yours! It will be at the house in a few days… But, no more shopping for dresses after this!”… I readily agree and tell him he spoils me and that I am oh so happy!!! Love, love, love him!
I can’t wait for this puppy to be delivered to my door step! Let’s just hope it fits… After all, you never know when shopping on-line.
What do you think? (hopefully the pic works)
It’s BCBG’s Centurian Dress and I think it screams Bride!
