First off, you have an awesome weddingbee name.

Secondly, I would take a break.  When stuff like this happens to me, I just say “eff it, I’m putting this on hold for 24 hours.”

Stop. Breathe. Have some chocolate. Watch a movie. Something silly–maybe Puss in Boots or Cars or something. And, like everyone else said: take a little time off all the planning! Sounds like you still have tons of time to get those invites done and mailed. It’s only March. πŸ™‚

I felt like this last weekend and all week.  I was doing too much all at once and almost had a few breakdowns myself. I just decided to take some time off from wedding planning so that I won’t hurt somebody, LOL

Take a deep breath and a short break from planning. This is all so overwhelming!

See if you can find the invitations you want online – try Michaels online, and try ebay (I’ve been able to find lots of discontinued items on ebay, some of which have been discontinued for years). And if you can’t find exactly the invitations you want, see if you can find something else you like. After all, our guests only see their own, and have no idea if theirs is different from anyone else’s.

Good luck!

Are there any other Michael’s stores locally that you can check to see if they still have the invitations in stock?

When Darling Husband and I moved in together, I made matching Christmas stockings for us and our 4 dogs.  A few years later, we got a cat.  I felt that she needed to have the same stocking as the rest of us.  I couldn’t find the right kind, so had to make brand new ones for all 7 of us.  I decided to use gold iron-on letters to put the names on the stockings.  The closest Michaels didn’t have enough packages of the letters for my to complete them.  My wonderful husband drove me to every Michaels in the metro area (3 in addition to the first one) in one afternoon so I could try to find enough gold letters.

Or if there are other stores, maybe you should call them to ask before wasting gas.

If it makes you feel any better, today I was sitting in the car crying in the parking lot of Bed, Bath and Beyond. I just had a total emotional collapse.

It’s hard when stuff starts piling up and the details become so major. Maybe start from scratch? A little money might be worth your sanity. Check out the site “zazzle.com”, it’s very user friendly
