Because I can’t trust myself around it.
I’d never had this ice cream before, Fiance got a thing of ice cream specifically for him in a flavor I don’t much care for, but it was buy-one-get-one so he got one for me in a flavor I DO apparently like.
And I ate three large bowls of it in a day.

GREAT JOB!! I have banned all bad food from our house. I told my Fiance if he wants it he can have it…just has to stay hidden in his vehicle. 🙂

Eh you should have kept it. It would have taught you self control! All throughout my dieting I had delicious desserts in the fridge at all times. Partially because my Darling Husband is a sweet tooth & I love to bake. It really gave me the confidence to learn how to say “nope” all on my own. Making it easier to avoid the dessert cart at restaurants. 🙂

Good for you!
I’m strongly thinking of throwing away half a cake. It came home with us from a holiday party, but I kinda think it has served its purpose and needs to go.

Wow, that’s hardcore! I would have just eaten it and then not bought more. 😉

@Bebealways: Good job! Ice cream isn’t even allowed into our home, far too tempting.

Fiance is allowed to only buy junk food I don’t like, which is easy because he loves it all and I’m mega picky with my unhealthies. It’s funny. Fiance can buy a gallon tub of HIS (usually cheap) ice cream, and I won’t touch it. He can buy barrels of cookies, and I’ll have maybe one. But there’s a few things that just CALL to me as long as they’re around, and a really good ice cream is one of them. (Even with that there’s only a few flavors I really care about.)
I appreciated him trying to be sweet using his free extra ice cream on something for me but I can’t have that much in the house of something that good >_< haha.
My usual rule is I only buy single servings — like those itty bitty containers they started making kinda recently, or ice cream novelties, stuff like that. If I really want my fix, I have to go out of the house and get ONE serving of it.

@PinkMermaid: That is an excellent plan!

I did this a couple weeks ago except it was klondike bars. I turned on the hot water, turned my head (it was so sad to see an entire box of delicious treats melt before my eyes) and flipped on the garbage disposal for good measure. I was so relieved once it was over but man did it suck. It’s for the best!

@Bebealways: HAHAHAHAHA! Hilareous pic! That reminds me of when I had to throw out half a jar of peanut butter. I was depressed and the time and had been eating it by the spoonful! It never tasted the same after that…

I have done that too and will throw out anything that I like and can’t trust myself around. I have the will power not to buy stuff I know is bad but if you put it in front of my face it’s really hard to ignore. Good for you..and LOL at your gif.

LOL. I just keeping watching that gif over and over and over.
