Some of you may remember this thread in which we adopted Willy, a 1 yr old. Great Dane who had been starved. You can see pictures in the first post of how skinny he was.
Well, on Thursday he had a vet appointment and weighed in at 132 lbs. That is 25 lbs. heavier than the very first time we took him to the vet, and approximately 35-40 lbs. heavier than when the rescue took him.
I would urge anyone looking into getting a dog into rescuing. As I look at him snoozing on the couch my heart is just full of happiness – this time last year he was not sure when or if his next meal would come. Now, he gets only the best food, his own couch (well, he does have to share with his sister, lol!) and is loved and hugged every chance we get.
Happy Sunday! 🙂

He’s such a gorgeous dog! We rescued our kitten. He weighed 1 pound when we found him at 9 weeks old… you could feel all his bones! He is now a healthy almost 7 lb six month old. (= It’s one of the best feelings in the world to rescue a furbaby.
