@hermitcrab: I’m just not being good about really sticking to it. I know it will work, but I think I’m eating way too much of the “free” fruits and veggies and I’m not exercising.

I also ordered 30 day shred and it should be here tomorrow.

 

Planning on doing the elliptical tonight after Physical Therapy since I’ll already be at the gym.

Well if it is like myfitnesspal, it is so AWESOME!

I have lost 13 pounds since April 1st by using that site and by the awesome support of my Fiance and girls here on wb.

My suggestions are

  • input everything, even if it is a little candy or a black coffee
  • input all activities … even when I go shopping, I input those 15 min of slow poke walking and it makes me feel better
  • if you have a smart phone, get the ap if there is one. I have a blackberry that I am attached to by the hip and it makes it easier for me to figure out what I can eat and how much

I’m using the Lose It app for my iPhone, – it’s pretty neat since i don’t have to use a Points calculator, and it’s a little better about calculating exercise calorie burn instead of relying me to know how hard I worked out.  I’m cheating a little too much lately on weekends, and am trying to be honest when I enter my foods.  I haven’t had much weight loss yet, but I tend to lose inches before the scale drops.  My clothes fit a little better now, so I guess something good is happening.

I guess just keep track as honeslty as you can, and look for restaurant food data, like here:

@hermitcrab: How’d your first day of tracking go?

Lose it gave me an allowance of around 1,200. I ate 1,500 and burned 400 so I’m about 100 under for the day.

I feel really good too!

Funny! I just started this again.  It really makes you aware of what you are putting into your mouth! I like it a lot.  I used it last summer and lost 5 lbs with it.  It helps to have friends who are on it as well.  You can link the accoutns and it helps motivate you not to go over your calories becuase they can see what you eat! Good luck!

@hermitcrab: Down a net of 0.6 so far.

1,200 cals really don’t go that far in a day!

But I don’t miss WW at all either. Just need to cancel my subscription.

Bumping/necroing this thread to see if anyone else is using the LoseIt app to try to get in wedding shape? I’m too poor for Weight Watchers at the moment, so I’m trying this. LOVE the “scan barcode” feature–it seems to have everything!
