This is going to be hard to do but RELAX. The more tense you are the worse it will be. Most waxers will tell you to take a deep breath before a bad one so you can breath out as they pull. Also, Tylenol/Advil will prob not a make a big differece, they aren’t localized enough. I don’t think brazilians are that bad, but I’ve been going for years.

Good luck!  Make sure that you use lotion afterward to avoid having ingrowns.

I am so scared to let someone get so close to my va-jay-jay with something that could cause it so much pain!

Wear cotton panties that you don’t really care about–they might get wax on them, and cotton is breathable. Also, let the hairs grow out as much as you can, it’ll be easier for the wax to grip them. And relax! The first pull is the worst  🙂

The best tip I know is to make sure you exfoliate! I use a facial exfoliante that’s designed to be used daily, so it’s very gentle, but definitely do so before and when it starts to grow back it will prevent ingrowns.

Goodluck!  I had a great experience w/ my first Brazillian.  I 2nd what everyone else has said and remember to exfoliate once the swelling/irritation has gone away!

I’ve heard it’s less painful the second time, so it’s smart to do it before your wedding. 😉 All I can say is, OUCH, and good luck!

Good luck! I have always wanted too, but I can’t stand letting it grow out long enough to do that!

Meadowy & Dragonfly are right. Exfoliate!

I’ve only had a bikini wax before but I didn’t think it hurt really. I thought the heat of the wax was more painful then the pulling! I must be tougher than I thought! :p

Good luck!  I have no tips since I’ve actually been trying to get the guts up to make an appointment for my first one all week!  It might be a little easier if I knew what to ask for.  I want less taken off than a Brazilian but more than a Bikini would.  Surely there’s a name for that, right?!
