@Milan21xx:  I don’t think you’re ever *ready* as there will always be something else to pay for, save for, or do. There is never a moment where you wake up and say, okay, now is the perfect time and everything has fallen into place.

However, if it is not planned and you guys aren’t even wanting a child right now (and I will guess that is the case as you’re on BC pills), I would take a morning after pill. And I would also hurry as they are most effective if you do it sooner rather than later. The risk of birth defects goes up when you get pregnant on the pill (and I had a miscarriage in the same situation), so I do not recommend it.

Being married doesn’t mean you have to be a mom if you aren’t ready. That line of thinking is total BS. It’s your body, your future, and only you know what you’re ready for. I think you owe it to your future children to only have them when you are really prepared.

@BoxerLady:  I disagree. If this were true, people wouldn’t plan for pregnancies or be actively trying to conceive.

Also, OP – I got pregnant taking the pill perfectly. 2 missed pills IS a big deal.

@crayfish:  I don’t understand what this means in relevance to what I said. If you’re on the pill, I would not assume you are TTC. That would be a little stupid.

@Milan21xx:  you said you missed two this month. can you be more specific? was it two in a row? was it right before sex? the way you phrased it, it sounds like it was earlier in the month. if it was over a week before sex, and you took your pills consistently in the interim, you should be just fine.

Its completely your choice, but the longer you wait the larger the chance becomes that it wont be effective. Ive used it twice, within 2-3hrs, and it worked fine. I took it because I wasnt on BC at all.
