When I was maybe 8 years old my aunt got married and I surprisingly caught the bouquet. My cousin who is ten years older than me got very upset and made me feel like absolute crap for catching it (I was a little girl!) I have ever since felt guilty…
Fast forward and it is now My wedding day and I happily hear my cousin shout “I caught it!”
This made me soo happy because it felt like I had given back what I took from her….Well my mom sent me pictures via dropbox and said you won’t belive what my boyfriend caught on camera….There is was, a picture of my cousin ripping the bouquet out of my little sisters hands! My sister is 8 years old (ironic right?) and my cousin is in her 30’s! I literally have tears of frusteration. The day after the wedding my cousin posted a picture of the boquet and in caption said “sorry (sisters name)” I didn’t quite understand at the time, I thought it was stated because my sister told everyone she wanted to catch it before I threw it…Worst part was that sorry was pretty sarcastic (it caused an eye roll from all of us) and NONE of us realized when we read it that she had STOLEN the bouquet….I am so angry and can’t do anything about it…
DH and I are going to pay to make a new replica bouquet and bring it to my sister when I visit this summer, I have talked to my sister and this was her response she typed on skype:
“I was a tiny bit upset because you are my ONLY sister and I dont get to do it again. she was just stronger so she won.”
I am just heart broken…..

Punch her in the ovaries.

Apparently what happened is that my sister caught the bottom and then the cousin grabbed the top to pull up (then she pulled my sisters hand off the bottom). My sister said she wasn’t mad and she seems to be okay. I am just super angry!

I too had a bouquet ripped from my hands just last year. It was awful and I was ready to cut a b.

Stating the obvious here… but your cousin is a wierdo, and this will ultimately make her the loser in life.

Oh. My. God. WTF?! I cannot even get over this picture! Look at her pulling your little baby sister’s hand right off the bouquet!
What a nutjob, seriously. Good thing your little sis isn’t worried about it–I’m sure if you try not to bring it up around her, she’ll likely forget about it!

I seriosuly wish I could! She will never be welcome to our home or any of our functions again
I have seen people go bouquet crazy (my mother was a photographer and we both have witnessed some nasty bouquet tosses) but really, she is a little girl!

Tell her that.

Other than these two instances in my life she has been normal….I have no desire to have anything to do with her for the rest of my life
I know, it broke my heart! We are talking about it around my sister (we don’t want her feeling like she SHOULD be upset) but she WILL get a bouquet. She is really such a trooper!

What a nutter. I was at a wedding once where a ‘friend’ just about hip and shouldered another mutual friend to try and get the bouquet because she wanted her boyfriend to propose. Who are these people?! (She lost, which gave me great satisfaction).

Wow , it’s really no wonder why your cousin is single and desperate to catch a bouquet . What a psycho. At least your poor sister has more maturity and emotional stability to realize that this isn’t a huge deal . I would be sure to post the photo showing her ripping the bouquet out if a 8 year olds grip… Just to be a Beotch
