@Payless:  I would post the pic with the caption “(cousin) it’s okay”

Good thing bouquets don’t equal man magnets!

Your sister will be thrilled with a new bouquet, and your crazy cousin can suck it.
Other than that? I’d say don’t dwell on it too much.

@Payless:  Yeah it may be a desperate thing to do, but to cut her out of your life is also extreme! What she did was not nice but it is hardly the worst thing in the world!

@Payless:  Glad that venting helped! It’s one of the best things about the bee! And glad that your sister is excited about her bouquet. And I can see that sending the picture in a private message, coudl have some benefit of making her realize what she had done. So that makes sense. Distance probably isn’t a bad idea for the time being, but I’ll hope that she comes to her sense and offers a real apology and you all can put the whole mess behind you!

Of note, this actually reminded me of a phtoto of the complete opposite reaction. At one of my friend’s wedding several years ago I got up when they did the bouquet toss because I didn’t want to be a party pooper. But was not at all interested in actually catching the bouquet – I thought it would go to one of the young girls. But then my friend lobbed it straight at my head. She has this picture of me knocking it away with both hands with these big terrified eyes. We could put your cousin’s picture and my picture up and label it “When bouquet tosses go wrong”

TBH I did that at someone’s wedding and didn’t notice, grabbed it right out of the little girl’s hands

After the jumping up and down I saw her crying, didn’t even realize it and I gave it back to her. She was happy again.

Seems like this has gone from mole hill to mountain. I don’t really see what the big deal is and feeling sad about something so insignificant that happened when you were 8 seems ridiculous. Your sister isn’t making a big deal out of it and seems like she has a good head on her shoulders though.

@Payless:  that is just horrible and exactly why your rude cousin is single, this girl needs more than a bouquet of flowers to find a man

@Payless:  that sucks.  i would have sent her this,

“catching the bouquet (or stealing it) is not going to get you married any sooner.  you will need an attitude adjustment before that happens.  good luck.”
