Hey bees! After researching for hours and looking in stores I finally picked the Kindle E-reader. Which, btw is the only one I have never seen in person lol. I just ordered it and I bought the cover with the built-in light too. Anyone have one…and please tell me you love it 🙂
If you have a different kind of e-reader do you like it?

I have had my kindle about 2 years now.
I LOVE it so much.
I did NOT want it when I originally got it.
Fiance got it for me for my birthday and I really didn’t want it (because I love books, and the smell and feel of real books), but I was won over SO fast.
Commuting by public transit and having a kindle is amazing.
The battery life (with wireless off) is really long.
It works great in direct sunlight and I’ve had no issues with eye strain.
I am a HUGE kindle fan.

I do! The only issues I have had with it is I’m on a campus internet and it can’t connect with that type of server (missing out on my wireless downloads) and then also the Harry Potter books aren’t on them 🙁

I love my kindle so, so much. I got one last Christmas, and can’t live without it. 🙂

@KatNYC2011: Good to hear! I’m so glad you love it.
@fvsoccer: That’s too bad 🙁 Weird. I thought the coverage was supposed to be fantastic. And what’s with the Harry Potter thing? I have never read one but I have so many friends obsessed with them I was planning on reading one someday.

Jealous! I wanted to put it on my wedding registry but that might be overboard.
Let us know what you think once you get it. I appreciate all the other feedback from bees with kindles as well 🙂

@eloping: YAY! I read a lot of good things about the light and I was hoping they were true! I just didn’t want to be bothered with batteries so this option was the perfect solution.
@Beingewe: Lucky you! I thought about waiting until Christmas so Darling Husband could buy it for me but I’m too impatient. They just better not come out with the new model within the next few months or I will be pissed 🙂

you cant buy harry potter for your kindle (or any reader i believe), JK Rowlings has been very anti ebook until recently and im patiently waiting because i think in a few months we will finally be able to buy it

I do! I do! I got the first version and passed it down to my mom, who hasn’t turned it off since. I have the new one and it’s awesome! I bought a light called the Mighty Bright off amazon and it works really well. I just ordered 3 things today and it was only about $7! The book prices are great.

@eloping: Hopefully that changes. I get that some people prefer to hold a “real” book but you would think the authors would just be happy to have sales.

I’ve had my K2 for almost 2 years and I absolutely love it!! Also regarding JK Rowlings, her books will not be available on the Kindle and may never be. Her EReader version is her site Pottermore. You maybe able to access the site on the Kindle but I’m not sure how well it will download if at all. I call BS to it and will probably never read the series now unless a friend has all the books.

@kelmac: Oh it gets the signal and all but the security process for accessing this university’s internet is RIDICULOUS. I struggled getting my laptop online. So the poor kindle 3 is a no-go.
