I ordered my dress from Lightinthebox and was very happy with both the dress and the shipping. It was driven to my house and the UPS driver called me on my cell and asked if I was home. I was so I’m not sure what would have happened if I hadn’t been home but I guess he had made some arrangements.

@Creative4ABride:  I ordered bridesmaid dresses from lightinthebox. They tried to deliver on Friday through FedEx, but nobody was home and they need a signature. Then, FedEx doesn’t deliver on Saturday or Sunday, and now today is Memorial Day so no FedEx!! So I will be getting my lightinthebox delivery tomorrow too…I really hope we are both pleased with what we get!!! I would love to just have the dresses and be done. I agree, it’s the waiting that’s the worst part…and the thought of having to return them if they’re no good!!

I’m glad you’re happy with it. I too was going to order a dress through them, but I actually chickened out after seeing so many horrible reviews (it was for my ACTUAL dress). I ended up going with Dressilyme (Chinese company – like LightInTheBox) – even after every single person I know told me I was a fool to take a chance like that. BUT, I had a very happy ending. The day I got my dress I put it on and proceeded to spend 45 minutes standing in front of the mirror and just staring (there might have been a little hip-moving to watch it swish back and forth too!) at myself in it. The best thing about it though was that I had it made to my measurements and it fit LIKE A GLOVE. It would be nice if there were more people willing to post their GOOD experiences, because the stress of waiting to know is almost not worth it.

You should update this again once you’ve had it taken in….I’d love to see the final look!!! Congratulations on being willing to take a chance – and being happy with the results. It makes me feel really warm and tingly inside knowing I only paid $178 (CAD) for my dress, plus the $75 tariff from DHL. I’ll be posting pics after the wedding.

@Creative4ABride:  Hi bees, I am a new member, just registered in fact. I am a Spaniard living in New Zealand, getting married in January 2013 (yay!!). I found this forum searching for “lightinthebox reviews”. I had found a wedding dress I liked very much on LITB website, and I was looking for reviews from the sellers… I have to admit that, at the beginning, I almost decided not to order anything, because the reviews out there are scary!

After reading some of the posts at The Wedding Bee, and seeing that the wedding is still 6 months away and the dress I liked was very affordable, I decided to take the risk and order it. In my mind i am already assuming it will be too small, too big, defective or too horrible, so i won’t get disappointed if the dress is not what it seems. I only  I ordered it half an hour ago, and I thought it would be interesting to register here and post my experience, to share with you all.

I will give you the details of the dress:

That is the dress, I ordered a size 10 in white. By my measurements I would probably be closer to an 8, but some comments said this dress ran a bit small, so i decided to go for 10 (after all, it is easier to fix a dress that is too big than fixing a small one). I am having a beach wedding and, even though I am not in a tight budget, I refuse to buy something too ostentatious, and wedding dresses here in NZ are a minimum of $1000… definitely not what i want to spend on a dress which I will be wearing for a day! The ceremony is going to be very simple, with a barbeque afterwards, so I wanted a simple dress which matched our simple lifestyles. That said, I do not want a horrible quality one.

I ordered the dress on July 25th 2012 and chose expedited shipping. Dress was $89.99 and shipping about $30. I received the confirmation immediately in my e-mail, with no extra charges. New Zealand only pays custom tax on orders over $400, so i am not expecting to be stung with any extra fees… however, after some stories i have read, I will be prepared.

If there is any problem with the dress, I will try to get a refund, but I have already gambled that money and I am prepared to lose it… after all, some times you win, some times you lose :). Not a huge amount of money anyway, and if the dress is actually as nice as it looks, it will have been money well spent. If not, it will serve as an example to other prospective customers!

I will keep reading here and letting you know how things go. I am happy to post photos of the dres when it arrives, and give you my impression about how similar it is to the one on the website.

Great to be part of this community, I will now go and have a look at the rest of the forum to get some tips for my wedding.

Hugs to all!

@lucia76:  Update: on my “Orders” page it now says “Estimated shipping date
August 13, 2012″.
Getting excited now 🙂

Also, the money has come out of my credit card already and it is exactly what it said it would be, no hidden fees so far.

Will keep updating.
