Hello everyone!! 🙂
I just ordered my dress a couple days ago and after thinking about it for a while, I’m starting to think it’s TOO plain…. Orders are final. Below is a picture of me in the dress when I first tried it on. It’s a strapless, fit/flare satin dress with clean lines (I’m wearing a bra in the picture so it may look like it has straps)… and the train of the dress is chapel length and is very bare. The dress in the picture is the color ‘cream pearl’ but I ordered it in the color ‘pearl white.’ Also, I’m standing on a 6″ pedestal so I won’t look as tall as I do in the picture (I’m under 5′) !!
What do you all think I should do? Should I leave it the way it is? Should I alter the neckline to a more sweetheart? Should I add lace decoraton to the bottom of the dress or to my bust? Should I add beading to my train? Should I try to find a nice sheer lace bolero to match?

Does it come with the sash? If it does then I think its perfect. You can always go all out on the veil if you don’t think its interesting enough. Otherwise I would find a similar sash.

@lmnguye4: it fits you wonderfully. i would bling out with jewelry… a statement necklace, gorgeous drop earrings and/or a sparkly bracelet will let YOU shine.. not just the dress 🙂

I think the dress and sash look amazing as is, I wouldn’t alter that neckline. You could add a little something with a veil or hair piece!

Not with that stunning sash! I think it’s classic!

I think that dress is absolutely stunning! A sweetheart neckline might add a bit more for you. Are you keeping the sash? I think it adds so much to it. I love your dress!

I think that there is tremendous luxury to be found in simplicity. The dress is perfect. It’s elegant and simple and highlights YOUR beauty. You should check out some of the other threads in this forum of brides complaining about how they altered their dresses and added stuff and now they regret it. Don’t be that bride!

You have such a great figure that it’s what makes the dress not so simple! The sash is gorgeous too!

No way! I’m pretty honest when I think something is off or doesn’t look good, but I truly think it’s beautiful!

it looks beautiful to me, especially with that sash. Remember that you still have your hair, make up, shoes, jewellery, and even a veil to spice things up! i would suggest you look into your accessories and everything before you make a final decision and alter anything, you might change your mind!

You can do so much to glam it up, I wouldn’t worry about it being plain. It looks great on your body!

I think it looks great, but if you wanted to add a little something what about some color underneath, like some bride dye their peticoats I think you could add in there some colored toulle maybe?
