I just wore an ivory wedge. I think color shoes for wedding are so awesome! I love that pop of color!

My shoes were originally gold, but we then covered them in PINK Swarovski rhinestones and glittered the bottom pink too. It’s one of our colors but is also my favorite color and it will match my dyed pink petticoat :oD <3.

@vanilla frosting:  The color of the bow on the shoes is the purple I’m going for!  Really cute! Love them!

Our wedding colors were emerald green and ivory (Christmas theme).  I found the perfect shoes- green plaid Betsey Johnson heels.  I found matching plaid socks for my hubby at the last minute too.

Mine are ivory, but I wish I had gotten colored ones! I bought mine a long time ago though, and they’re awesomely comfortable and were expensive so I’m not re-shopping for shoes now

Colored wedding shoes are amazing and SO FUN! Mine were a pale seafoam aqua, which both coordinated with our wedding colors and was a color I absolutely loved (no coincidence between there!)

As for the argument that colored shoes will subtract from your dress.. Unless your dress is short, there’s a good chance people won’t even see much of your shoes (except when you show them off for photos). I could understand if the color or style clashed with the style of the dress (I went with a soft color so it wouldn’t clash with the soft-white-almost-ivory lace of my train), but otherwise I think they can enhance the dress!

I was originally planning on wearing red, but now that I’m dying my crinoline red, I decided it would be too much. I got ivory to go with my dress.
