Semi regular bee posting under another name here. A conversation with a friend has inspirme me to ask: what was the worst thing you did as a teenager? Did you get away with it? If not, what happened?
Mine was shoplifting when I was 15, quite out of character as I was normally a pretty good kid. Didn’t get caught in the act but my friend’s mum figured out what we’d been doing and gave me 24 hours to tell my parents or she would. I was so ashamed I couldn’t say it out loud and had to write it down.
My parents were utterly horrified and disappointed. My dad hit me with a belt the night I told them (first and only time that happened). A policeman lived just down the road and my parents arranged for him to give me and my friend a talking to after school the next day. I was also grounded and lost my allowance.
The friend I was talking to also shoplifted but actually got caught, arrested and cautioned – we are both respectable professionals now!
What about you?

I got pregnant. I gave up a scholarship to Harvard since I had no one to care for my son. I went to college, took advantage of every program offered for single parents or low income parents, joined the Army my sophmore year, still graduated from college with an accounting degree and a 3.7 GPA, and became a CPA.
Life was hard but I did what I had to do and now that son is an airman in the Air Force. I’m very blessed.

There was this cousin (a girl) who was just…. unbearable, every teen on the family hated her… once another cousin and me went to the bathroom and peed and without flushing… we soaked her toothbrush with the toilet water…
We thought “she doesnt like to wash her teeth anyway”
we’re the worst!
when that same cousin became a teen she changed her attitude, now she’s very nice and we all love her

That was meant to say inspired me – iPhone weirdness.

I think the worst was when a friend and I prank called some number. We got an answering machine and my friend babbled on about having seen the woman dance at a strip club. I don’t remember the whole thing, but that was the general idea.
We got in sooooo much trouble for that!!

I had relations with a teacher. It was 100%consensual. No one ever found out thankfully and I was 18.

I started drinking at 14. And I don’t just mean a beer here and there. My friends and I would drink every Friday and Saturday night. We’d sit in front of liquor stores until someone agreed to go in and get it for us. We never got caught. This went all through high school. I actually blame that on why I just can’t remember things often and why I always had a little pop belly!

i was driving my friends around in my dad’s car. one of my friends was turning 18 the next day so we decided to do something “crazy”– aka let my friend drive without a license. i pulled into my old elementary school’s parking lot (daredevil, i know), and got into the passenger’s seat. she was freaking out and i told her not to worry– spoke too soon. she was headed for the sidewalk/retaining wall so i told her to turn, then BRAKE, but instead she gassed it -.- the car jumped off of the sidewalk and ON TOP of the retaining wall then slid down. we freaked out- though it might have been a good thing she hit the gas or else we might have crashed into the wall. i told my mom, but i don’t think my dad has figured out. i have a secret promise that i’ll buy them a car someday.

The worst things I did were drinking on the weekends and I always spent the night at my friends because her mom would let us stay out however late we wanted. I also told my parents I was staying a friends (I made someone up) so I could go stay in the dorms with a guy in college. We smoked a lot of pot too my senior year in HS (and my first 2 years in college, among other things).
I graduated from HS with a 4.0 so I guess I didn’t do too bad. Never got in trouble with the police as a teen. Saved that for college And only once did I get caught not at my friends house by my parents. Never got caught for drinking or smoking (by my parents).
About the toothbrush thing…I did that to an ex one night when I was really pissed at him before I stormed off! Still kind of makes me laugh

@cindertoffee: I never stole anything or got drunk or anything like that, but I was a total bitch to my mom. We got into many arguments and I said lots of things I probably shouldn’t have.

I stole my parents car once. That sucked when I got caught. My parents called the police and almost had me arrested for stealing the car. Haha! I was generally a good kid though.

I’ve honestly always been really boring…sometimes I wish I would have had some sort of rebellion as a teenager, but honestly I can’t think of anything I did–I had a solid group of friends that didn’t get into any trouble and I was very involved in my church so I didn’t do much. And I was very naturally guilty with a great relationship with my parents: I would have felt terrible if I did anything remotely wrong and told them right away (like I said, pretty darn boring!).
