- Wedding: October 2012
I’m really excited to announce that our wedding invitations have been ordered! I placed the order the other day and the lady who is making them sent me a contract, credit card form, and all that fun stuff. She’s been really great to work with. I obviously don’t have OUR wedding invitations yet but here is a picture of what they will look like (sorry if the pictures come out big — I just linked from her blog).
Minus the piece of twine and we’re not doing the details card because our reception and ceremony are in the same location. We won’t need the extra card for anything.
Originally I was going to go with another invitation but thankfully I weighed the invitation sample I was sent — it was going to cost over a dollar to mail each invite which was going to be pricey. Little things like postage add up quick so make sure to check into things like this ladies! Anyways, these will cost less than a dollar to mail. We were going to have her make the RSVP postcards to save money but it wasn’t going to amount to a signifigant savings so we changed our minds and decided on regular RSVPs w/envelopes. Aren’t the paper bag envelopes to die for? Yes, they are. I know, I know. *nods head happily*
We are also going to have our return address printed on the main invitation and the RSVP so it’s less for me to write out. I wanted to make sure things will come back to me and it wasn’t very expensive to have her do that for us. I love the little mason jar on the back of the main envelope — it will have our initials on it followed by our return address. LOVE! I will write out my guest information though to make things personal!
You can see more pictures on her blog:
She has a lot of really pretty invitation sets. I’m excited to work with her on our invitations. Happy! I love doing things like this — with each step everything becomes more real.
144 days to go. <3
