Hi everyone! I’m new to Weddingbee and I’m nervous b/c I just put the deposit for my wedding reception in NYC this week and the wedding is on June 28th 2009! Also, Im leaving the country from March 24 to Memorial Day and so that leaves me one month to plan!
I was wondering if anyone has experience with either Just Pretty Bridal Photography vs Photography of Manhattan Bridal recently? I love the all-inclusive package idea. I went today and Just Pretty has a promotion with photo/albums/video/all dress/tuxes/limo/hair/makeup for very cheap. Manattan Bridal has only a photo/video and E-session and e-session only 20 poses CD combo with NO albums and its for a few hundred more than the aboves all inclusive package!
My first priority is photo. But I am worried about the quality of the images and want to see if anyone had them done recently with Just Pretty. I was thinking of signing the contract with them today (Sunday). (Unrelatedly, I already bought my white wedding dress. I was going to outfit all my 3-5 bridesmaids in chi paos and also rent my chi pao. I loved the chi pao that I will wear from pretty bridal, didn’t like the bridesmaids chi paos. I love the bridesmaids chi paos at Manhattan bridal so will separately rent those from Manhattan Bridal).
I have not yet checked out New York Wedding on Division street, nor any of the Flushing Mall vendors, although I will be in both chinatowns tomorrow. Anyone have other suggestions?
I appreciate any advice you can give and get from others for me!
Thank you very much!

Although I don’t have experience with any of their services, I did a simple google search and found the following information…
Just Pretty Bridal: Thread from Chinese Weddings by the Knot forum.. and another here. Both are for their photography, but there are many reviews for their dresses found on yelp and other sources when you google it.
I tried to google more information for Manhatten Bridal, but I came out with no results. I hope this bit of information helps. Good luck with your wedding planning.

Hi There! I went to Manhattan Bridal and I have heard so many horror stories. I was going to use them even though it’s so much cheaper and convenient as it is all inclusive..I decided to opt out. If you’re style is more modern, I wouldn’t go there. I decided to go to a more modern/stylist photographer but unfortunately it’s not all inclusive but I am happy with whom I picked. I decided to stay away from the Chinatown area.

i hope my post isnt too late!
i recently just signed with Manhattan Bridal because I saw my cousin’s wedding photos! I loved her hair and makeup that day, along with their photos and wedding dvd.
i went to MB and i spoke with May. She was very nice and easy to talk to, and most importantly, honest. she asked me how many people i was inviting to my wedding, and instead of trying to sell me the more expensive packages, she recommended that i get a package that was almost $1k less.
i also told her that i like photojournalistic photos, and she recommended a certain photographer to do my engagement photos, which i am taking on on 6/21.
cbc, im not sure who you spoke with, but they have more than one package.
hope that helps!

i went to manhattan bridal for a price quote and to check out the packages and was impressed with what i got. but right now, since that was the only shop i went to, and carol the owner gave me until monday evening to lock in with her, i’m so stressed out because:
1. there will be no makeup/ hair person with me the day of the wedding. basically i will be getting my hair and makeup done at manhattan bridal the day of the wedding and carol says that i wouldnt need a person for touch ups. is that true? i’m not sure…
2. wasn’t sure what the photography package included….
i guess my main issue is that i wanted to check out other wedding shops before deciding just to compare packages/prices.
if anyone has more info with manhattan bridal pls let me know
