Even pre-covid, we had our wedding planned for June 2022. Half the guests will be international with half local. Even if travel isn’t an option, we will still have a wedding of 50 people.
Vaccines are on the rise and people are starting to feel more confident about the future. I’m hoping that in 15months I can celebrate with all the people I love, but like everyone, I will be grateful for however the day turns out with my best friend.
It’s gonna be kraft dinner for the next few months, though. 😉

Congratulations! I’m hopeful that you’ll be able to have the wedding you want but applaud your attitude just in case it doesn’t work out!

Congrats! It’s definitely been a wild ride with covid – right after we committed to a micro wedding of just 40 max, new promises roll out from the government of getting a TON of vaccinations done by out wedding date, ugh. And while generally I think those intentions are great, it’s been giving me anxiety about whether I chose the right option. Of course I’d love to have more people there! But so far, 40 has seemed like PLENTY during covid and I absolutely want everyone to be safe.
Still, getting that venue booked is that first big step – I know it was such a relief to me when we did that! I had a lot of anxiety about not knowing when we’d get married so just having a date locked down made a huge different to me. You’ve gotten the first big thing done!!!
