You just put in your offer and the house closes tomorrow night?  I’m confused.  Do you mean that they’ll get back to you on your offer tomorrow night? Congrats. Interest rates are fantastically low. =)

@Petite_Fraise:  Oh I see.  Fyi a lot of sellers don’t pay attention to when offers expire, especially if they get more offers on the table.  We once waited 8 days to hear back on our counter because we entered a multiple bid situation.  Here’s to hoping you’re the only offer and it stays that way!

@Petite_Fraise:  Good luck! The rules may be different in your area, but in my state other offers are routinely introduced when the seller is already in negotiations with a buyer. A seller is not going to turn away another potential offer just because they already have an offer on the table. In fact, having 2 competing offers is advantageous to the seller because there is the potential for a bidding war to drive up the sale price.
