Beeee13:  Eloping is still so romantic and it will be so special so congrats!!! I have been with my Fiance for almost 12 years now too and can’t wait until our wedding. If we didn’t have such high maintenence famliy members we would have eloped too. That sounds amazing though. Winter weddings are awesome because you can find the best accessories for your dress…cute coat, comfy/warm shoes…good luck!!! AND START LOOKING NOOOOOW!!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Beeee13:  I have no regrets about eloping. It was so easy and we were able to concentrate on each other instead of worrying about details that in the grand scheme of things have nothing to do with the marriage. Our parents threw us a big party a few months later.

Beeee13:  yay!! congrats to you. Fi and I were in the process of planning a wedding and we have decided to elope to New York this year aswel. Our elopmenet will be on New Years Eve. We hired a photographer and an officiant and are just going to go out for New Years Eve afterwards. I suggest looking for vendor suggestions on theknot. or here. We booked Studio Saldana for our photographer.

We ended up going with a destination for almost this very reason.  It’s not eloping, but it’s a small, low 20’s attendance.  Nothing wrong with eloping!

I don’t have any vendor suggestions, but congratulations!

Beeee13:  YOU GO GIRL!!! Do what makes you and your Fiance happy. Your ceremony will be special any which way you have it. I commend you on thinking smart financially and placing the marriage above a wedding.

My Fiance and I were to have a July 11th, 2015 wedding. Due to not giving a sh*t about the color of napkins or who to sit at which table during dinner, we’re eloping on Nov 8th, 2014. All is set. Feels awesome!

Do it! We cancelled our money draining wedding and are eloping in 2 weeks! It was the best decision and we haven’t regretted it so far.

As for a dress I have heard that David’s Bridal has a super quick turnaround on dresses. A few weeks seems the average. Otherwise call stores and tell them you need to buy off the rack. Good luck and congrats in advance. I think December weddings are lovely ๐Ÿ™‚

I think it’s very romantic to elope. I wish I’d considered it before I booked a venue.

NYC during the holiday season will be fantastic, just think of all the amazing photographs you’ll have! ๐Ÿ™‚

Love this!

I have been married for 10 years now. We dida destination wedding to keep costs down. It worked and was lovely, however, we have always said that if we had it to do over again we would have eloped right away. I love the idea of it just the two of you and putting the money towards something fabulous to wear ( ideally that you can wear again) and a fabulous dinner after. Love it!
