Okay, not pregnant, never been pregnant, but I love pregnancy massage! It’s my favorite technique to receive and when I was studying massage therapy, my favorite to learn. I think you’re going to love it!

That’s awesome!  I’m in school right now to become a Massage Therapist, and one of my current classes is Pregnancy/Special Populations Massage!  I really like it so far, although as of yet we’ve only practiced on each other and none of us are pregnant.  It’s definitely something I think I would like to offer to my future clients, because I think it would be so awesome to be pampered like that when you were pregnant.  Enjoy your massage, RIbride!!!!

Uuuum, what is that exactly?  Regardless, I’m so in!

Ok, not now, but when I am pregnant!

@jennifer: To give you an idea of the positioning, the way that I learned it is a side-lying massage with pillows in between your knees. That’s the best part….*drool* It makes in easier for the therapist to get to the IT band (the muscle on the outside of your thigh) which feels wonderful and is, just in my own experience/opinion, a better position overall.

ETA: Though there are some places that have a special table or apparatus that allows the expectant mother to lie on her tummy. Some tables have a hole cut out in the middle for the belly, etc. Haven’t tried it, but I’ve heard good things.

Sounds good!  But, what makes it a “prenatal” or “pregnancy” massage.  Does it stimulate or promote something?  I sound so naive!  Lol.

And THIS is one of the perks of being pregnant. I know Fiance cannot say no when I’m carrying his kid! 🙂

I’m getting a pregnancy massage, I bought a spa day for myself.  I think I’ll wait til I’m further along though so I can appreciate it more.  I love massages, so I can’t wait!
