(Closed) Just started my search & the dress I'm obsessed w/ is being discontinued Help!

Nothing, it's way too soon to get a dress especially since this would be out of pressure

Wait to buy- keep looking to make sure nothing is better then try to find it

Don't wait- you don't want to risk not being able to get your correct size

Why not get the Tuscany and just get a ballgown skirt to put over it for the ceremony or reception? Best of both worlds.

If you want a ballgown, hold out for one. This is the only time you get to wear a certain kind of ballgown, so if that’s your dream, don’t compromise! many short celebrities have worn ballgowns in the movies and also at their own weddings. Ballgowns can be amazing in certain figures!

If you know you want a beaded ballgown, that will narrow your search.

Heavily beaded ballgown definitely exist, so I would keep shopping.

Here’s my David Tutera in light gold.  Not as much beading but Im sure you can do better.

I think if you were completely sold on this dress you would be saying ‘I need to order this now’, not ‘if I want it I need to get it now’. Beading on dressing is pretty in at the moment so I think after a bit of searching and trying dresses on you will find your dress.

Sci-Fi-Chic:  you can also get the ballgown you want and add a layer of transparent fabric (silk organza, e.g.) with heavy beading. It could be so gorgeous! Wish you could post pics.

Like a PP said, there are beaded ball gowns out there, so I’d keep looking. That being said, I’ll be wearing one that’s kinda in the “heavily beaded” dept. Here’s a pic of it:

and a close up of some of the beading:

Tinatiny1:  Thx! I totally can’t wait to be here. The downside to ordering a beaded ball gown is the wait time though. Mine is taking 11 months to come in. I’ll only have like 4 wks to get my alterations done and the thought of that is nerve wracking.
