Of course you can have a small Catholic wedding. You can omit the mass and have just the ceremony. Heck, if you wanted to, you could even do a tiny destination catholic ceremony 🙂

P.S. Your  dad can still walk you down the aisle. Carry his photo in your bouquet!

Ooo I like the idea of having a *destination* Catholic ceremony, in a really cool old church or mission somewhere gorgeous.

@jsanford:  When I was in Italy I saw so many weddings in little Catholic churches. It was so beautiful to watch. I only ever saw the bride and groom and a couple of people, so those were probably destination weddings…

@Cyclebride:  Yes, yes yes! There are a ton of online shops that do these now and they aren’t expensive at all! They can coordinate with your colors on the ribbon, or you can buy the frame/brooch alone and add your own. My dad passed in ’00, so I’ve been thinking of doing one of these as well.
