Me and my husband just decided to start trying to get pregnant this month! So excited! My ovulation date was somewhere between Jan 2 and 4th… so it is still very early I know.
Just wondering how long you tried before you got pregnant? Did any of you experience any symptoms of pregnancy BEFORE you missed your period?
I have had a lowerback soreness, and some minor crampiness. But I don’t know if this is just my imagination, or just not really signs of conceiving. I am cautiously optimistic, but I would like to know if I am setting myself up for dissapointment.
And any tips would be appreciated 🙂

I conceived on our first cycle trying. Before my period, I had leukorrhea (thick, white, discharge) and a possible yeast infection at what is otherwise a bizarre part of my cycle for one to occur. I also had elevated BBT, heartburn, spotting that could have been implantation bleeding, and felt generally agitated and hormonal in an exceptionally strange way.

First go for us too and I knew I was pregnant right away as my boobs HURT! it was ridiculous how fast that happened. Then I didn’t get any other symptoms at all till about 8 weeks in. Just sore boobs, really sore.
Edit: that’s actually an inadvertant lie as I did have on emore symptom, bang on 4 weeks pregnant I started randomly throwing up after I took my vitamins each morning. This stopped when I stopped taking them.

We were NTNP our first month and didn’t have any luck with that . Our next cycle and our first one actually trying (using OPKs ) , we were successful 🙂 so I like to count it as our first month. We were very blessed. It took a lot of our friends at least 6 months so we came off birth control a little earlier than originally planned thinking it would take longer. You just never know. My first signs were at about 7dpo . I had milky white discharge and some cramping. That was it though!

We got pregnant our third month of trying. Early symptoms began around 8-9 DPO in the form of mild cramps, back pain, and gas. We got our BFP on Saturday at 10DPO 🙂 Since then I’ve had mild nausea, extreme fatigue, and a stretching/cramping feeling in my abdomen.
I think around 8-9 DPO is the earliest true pregnancy symptoms can start. The hormones that cause a pregnancy test to detect pregnancy are the same ones that cause symptoms. So a good rule of thumb is if it’s too early for a BFP, it’s probably too early for symptoms. Definitely track what you’re feeling though, so that you have a record *IF* you move on to next cycle. Fingers crossed for you!

We started trying in July and conceived in November. I put 3 months because I only had my period twice in that time frame. (stupid 10 years of birth control)
Because I had read what all the pregnancy symptoms were, I was convinced every cycle that I was having “symptoms” and that I was pregnant. The only thing that was different when I actually was is that about 7dpo I had such bad cramps that I had to stay home from work. I’m assuming that was implantation, but I didn’t have any spotting from it.
Good luck TTC!

Went off BCP end of Oct. got my BFP 2 days before Christmas Eve.. we werent really doing anything out of the ordinary– no temping, charting. Just had a vague idea of when O may come due to a period tracking ap.
My biggest symptom, was that i had NO AF symptoms. no cramps, moodiness, etc.
Now i’ve got growing pain cramps and EXTREME hormonal mood shifts– so, although Darling Husband was all excited that I skipped my PMS.. he’s getting it ten fold with the early pregnancy symptoms!
I was also sick right before my BFP so that may have masked some of the symptoms. I was really tired but not sure if that was due to the flu or the pregnancy. And was taking lots of cold medicine.. luckily now I know I’m pregnant so that has since stopped!

4 months. Which isn’t an option on your poll

Two cycles, three months because my cycles were long. If you are sure when you ovulate that’s great, just have lots of sex in your fertile window. Just don’t assume you know unless you’re using opk or temping. I had long cycles and didn’t ovulate until day 25 and would never have times things right without using the opks.
My only symptoms were lower back pain similar to my AF cramps from 5dpo for a week, and spotting on 7dpo and 8dpo that was so light I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I weren’t looking for it.
Good luck. Such an exciting time!
