Sorry to hear that 🙁

I have had crazy headaches with my paypal account too, while I was living abroad. I had to access the internet using a proxy, and every time I logged into paypal, it would shut my account down. Every.single.time. They’re realllllly good about fixing it if you call though, usually in less than ten minutes, including hold time.

Unfortunately, if this girl is nervous, there’s not much you can do about it. I can understand her fear, because like mishelleez said, there are just so many scammers out there.

Do you have a copy of your email from Paypal explaining that your account was blocked, or did you figure it out on your own? Perhaps you could forward it to her as proof.

Here’s another idea: Do you have a friend who lives somewhere else who would be willing to order the dress for you using his or her account and you could pay them? That way, you are getting the dress and she doesn’t even know it’s you. 😉

There has to be a way to make this work lol!

If you are totally set on the dress, I would have a friend try to message her to purchase it. She would have to literally give up selling her dress online if she was that set on making sure you didn’t get it, which I doubt she would do if she’s trying to get some money for it!

Aww, that sucks. I’m sorry. 🙁 Make sure to check oncewed.com. That’s where I found my $700 dress BNWT for $200!

I’m not sure if this would help any if you really, really want that dress: https://www.escrow.com/index.asp

I work in an industry that is known to have some very shady individuals and some deals are made that could be fraud.  So to protect ourselves, we use Escrow.

The long and short of it is both buyer and seller has an account.  Buyer pays Escrow.  Shipper ships the item/hands over password, whatever.  Once the merchandise reaches you and it’s as described, Escrow will release the payment to the seller.

There is a fee on a transaction.  It can be paid by one side, the other, or split.

Good luck!

@rushing_bride:

If I read this correctly you paid the first time however the money was refunded because you had the old address.

Now, you are attempting to do business again however this time she will only mail the dress if you pay first.  Even if she receives the payment first than ships your dress it will work out.

How about you , make a transfer to your sister account and have her pay for the dress.   That is the only solution I see.

Could you have someone else email her and not say anything about you so she thinks its a totally different buyer?
