Yay for us Canadians!  I am in BC, and I promise if I’m ever by the store I will let them know the “European Girl” is extremely grateful!

I haven’t been to New Westminster in years, but I’m so happy you got your shoes!

I love this story!  I pass through New Westminster nearly every day! I’m still on my wedding shoe hunt, so perhaps I’ll pass through there and say hello!

Ha ha that’s awesome….I’m Canadian but I lived in the UK for 10 years and I understand why people love the customer service here – I can’t imagine a shoe shop in Europe calling around to find shoes for me, then shipping them to a different location and putting them on hold until the next time my flight rolled in….they’d probably laugh at me for asking. I love England and my time there, it’s just a different level of customer service and what they’re willing to do to help. You do get the odd shop that would do this, but it’s not the norm.

Glad you got your shoes…i’m gonna have to check out spring, those flats are perfect : )

ps. I loved visiting the Netherlands too!

@sarah_CA:  +100! I’m also a canadian living in the UK and one of the first things i noticed here was the customer service! i’ve been in situations that are so bad it’s actually hilarious – my SO and i from time to time will just look at each other in amazement – like what is going ON?!

OP i’m so glad you got your shoes!

@peonyinlove:  I lived there 10 years and you get used to it – it’s just the norm….like if you’re in a changeroom trying on clothes in Canada the sales rep will knock, ask how you’re doing, if you want any different sizes or if they can make recommendations, etc. At the Canadian grocery store they often ask if you found everything you were looking for and how’s your day going….i could go on and on….

those little things i missed!

but you honestly just realise no biggie, just a different culture. Now that I’m back in Canada there’s so much I miss about the UK.

Are you in london? hope you’re loving it!!
