But really, comparing a restaurant meal with purchasing a $20,000 diamond are two different things. I am legitimately looking (well now the search is over) for a diamond and wanted to see what they had to offer. For example, NO I would never walk into a bridal store and try on a bunch of dresses if I had NO intention of buying a dress in the near future. This is not the case. Just because I went in to the store with my sister as opposed to my bf, does not mean I am not seriously looking. I happened to be in the mall, and it was a store I had heard about on the radio, so I figured while I’m here, why not check it out?

haha, that’s like one day we went into Jared’s and I said “I want to look at your engagement ring settings” and the girl proceeds to sit me down and try to sell me a $10,000 diamond. And then I was like “well settings is what i was looking for right now…” so she goes over and gets a 4-prong platinum setting, plops the diamond in the middle and says “how’s that?” and then SHE puts it on her OWN finger and admires it for the next 20 seconds.
I will never go back to Jareds. It was such a lame experience.
I’m really sorry for your super not-fun experience, but she WAS a mall jeweler, and you know they’ll try their best to make a sale any way they can. Well NO THANKS if they’re gonna be pushy about it! Yeesh!

The point I was trying to get across is that when you’re in a customer service job, it’s your job to assist customers and be friendly and courteous. Don’t read too much into it…
