I want to know if any other bees do this.
DH is a jeweler and I have a beautiful e-ring that is totally me! It is a beautiful round solitaire with micro-pavé and rose a gold strand running through. I have a wedding band that is the perfect match to my ring with pavé and the rose gold strand. However, I also have a plain rose gold wedding band that was used during our ceremony (this is traditional in Jewish weddings).
As of late, i’ve been just wearing my plain rose gold band on my ring finger. It’s not that I don’t like my e-ring, because I do LOVE it…. I just like wearing my plain band!
Does anyone else occasionally wear their band without their e-ring?

@Petite_Fraise: Yep I only have my band on right now. I love love my Engagement Ring but I work construction office and I just like to wear the band for comfort.

I find myself wearing just my band without my ering more and more. While I love my ering there is something about the simplicity of my wedding band that I really love.

I thought I would just stroll around with my wedding band on, which is why I refused to solder it to my e-ring….but after five years of NEVER taking either off unless I was doing dishes, showering or up to my elbows in something awful…I finally took the plunge and added a second band and had them soldered…I thought I loved it before, now I’m totally besotted with it! But everybody has to do what works for them!

I have a simple solitaire (round, yellow gold) and a channel-set wedding band (yellow w/ round again). I often wear just my wedding band. If I’m at home it’s the only ring I put on to putter around the house, and I don’t put on my engagement ring if I’ll be working on anything outside in the yard, garage, etc. I don’t always wear my diamond to work or out, either. When I want the extra bling I slip it on, and sometimes on my right hand. I designed them to be able to wear separetely and I do.

I love how just my band looks! My engagement ring is a simple 1ct RB solitaire, and my band is white gold with 10 channel set princess cut. They’re cute together, but there’s something really gorgeous about just the band. Sometimes I’ll wear the e-ring on my right hand.

I love my engagement ring to no end, but when I’m just hanging around and am not feeling fancy, or if maybe for example I have been drinking and playing Just Dance 4 every night since Christmas Eve with DH and my finger is way too bloated to wear all those rings, I will absolutely wear only my wedding band (or bands).

My set is soldered now because with my last set though I thought I would wear the band alone sometimes I never actually did. I just always wore them together. I love having my set soldered (one “ering” and two bands) and I wear it frequently as it is low profile and easy to wear (no prongs or pave). My rings all came AFTER we were married though so I don’t exactly have an “e-ring”. Just wedding rings that include a centre stone ring!
However, I do have a spare matching band and a couple stackers that I will wear together or separately on my ring finger when I do not feel like wearing my set, or when it is prudent not to wear my set. Usually I’ll just wear the band over the weekend for example. I also use these for places where I do not want to wear my set (running, traveling, diving, the gym, etc). I like doing this as I can just kind of leave them on and not worry about taking them off to run, shower, clean, etc as they are low profile, don’t have a centre stone, etc. I’ll usually take off my main set when I get home from work at night and not put it back on until after my run/the gym the next morning, and on weekends it comes off Friday (and the band/stackers go on) and might not come back on again until Monday.

i wear my e-ring on the left hand and my band on the right, it’s matter of culture here in Poland, we don’t use to wear them together and the band will have to be worn on the right hand, if you wear it on the left hand, some might think you lost your partner or so. I love them more separately because they were bought not as a set.

I wear only my wedding ring (plain platinum bad) while horse riding and exercising generally

For the first month or so of being married I wore my wedding band alone, because my prior engagement ring (3 stone) was incredibly uncomfortable when worn with my wedding band. I have since reset my e-ring to a solitaire and have been wearing both rings together. I will definitely wear my wedding band alone sometimes, but for the most part I prefer the look of a set.

I wear just my ering without my band.

I don’t wear just my wedding band. My band is shaped so that it will fit against my engagement ring. So, they look amazing together. I think it looks pretty by itself too but the curve is kind of random if worn alone, lol.

As for me, I usually wear band only when I’m at work and traveling. I hardly wear my e-ring and band together.
