You are not alone!  Right now because I’m not working, we don’t even have $100 a week to spend on fun stuff.  A lot less actually.  Part of that is because we are saving up for a new house in 2 years.

No, you are not alone at all.  We have a lot less then 400 a month for “fun money” and have no savings.  We are definitly on a pay check to paycheck lifestyle..  I just keep praying and hopeing that we win powerball or megamillions!

you are definitely not alone… all of our “extra” money usually just goes to getting take-out a couple times a week and maybe a bottle of wine.

we went shopping a couple times in the past few weeks but spent only $100 both trips combined.

we’re squeezing every penny out of each paycheck to pay for the wedding, build our nest egg, and pay our mortgage/bills.

I didn’t have that kind of money before the wedding!!! I definitely have a lot more to play with now. My job also pays extremely well, so we’re putting a lot of money into the house instead of going out and spending it for funsies! We eat out MAYBE twice a month.

Edit: my husband doesn’t have a job, either!

You are for sure not the only person!  We’re both in school and I only work part-time, so we’re definitely broke.  But being broke now while taking courses means having more money in the future!  I know it’s hard not to be jealous when you see other people who have lots to play with.

Oh, you are not alone. My Fiance and in the same boat.

What burns me the most is that our friends say they “have no money” but every time we turn around they buy a new TV, Car, Computer etc etc!!!

It doesn’t mean you are doing something wrong!  Remember there are people of all walks of life on here, which means that some girls do make more than others.

You are not alone. We budget with every single paycheck but becasue we do that we have extra money for vacations, dinner, movies, etc…
Plus, I just got a raise so that is helping big time!

Oh no, not alone at all! I would be through the roof if we had $400 left a month to spend!

So not alone. I have to pay for my own rent and he has to do the same. We don’t live with each other yet. We both work but it doesn’t seem like enough and i am just hoping that we can save up enough without having to ask our parents (even though they have already offered). i’m in school so it is hard with that expense as well. So you are not alone. And i think that no matter what we will get through this… and then we will be great at putting money away to save for things so after the wedding i think we’ll be able to have a nice little nest egg!!!

I live paycheck to paycheck and it sucks. Wondering when that ends exactly.

You’re definitely not alone.  The closest we can usually get to a date night is takeout and a movie from Red Box.  It annoys me oh so much when my friends are taking trips all the time and then talk about how they don’t have any money.
