@CanAmBride:  I’ve done it before it was illegal here and wouldn’t show up on drug tests. I don’t see the big deal, I never got “high” off of it, and frankly it tasted funny.

I heard a lot about it on the news a year or two ago but the latest thing I’ve been hearing about are those insane ‘bath salts’.

@CanAmBride:  Wow.  I haven’t heard much about K-2 here in the States/New Jersey, but we have an ongoing problem with “bath salts”.  It’s pretty much the hallucinations and the fried brain that makes peopel go absolutely nuts.

ETA: We had a patient in our psych hospital who was 18, a star football player and about to graduate when he completely lost it due to bath salts.  He could barely speak.  He would daze endlessly.  His brain was fried and he has the mentality of a toddler.  It’s such a shame.  I often wonder how he’s doing.  Because of him, we were educated on bath salt.  The hallucinations are so vivid for those high off of them that they get extremely anxious and paranoid.

I’ve heard about K-2 just in the last week because certain areas on the east side of lower Michigan are trying to out law it. I personally don’t know much about it though. I heard about the bath salts I think almost a year ago.

The only K2 I know of is the mountain – second highest on Earth after Mount Everest.

@Mrs.KMM:  I thought this post was going to be about the mountain too! Climbing K2 is supposed to be more dangerous than climbing Everest. The death rate is around 20%.

I don’t know anything about what this thread is actually about, though.

I think they call K-2 ‘spice’ here in AL.  It’s sold in convience stores, WTH!

Is this the same thing as spice?

I know spice (along with all drugs, obviously…) is illegal in the Navy.  In fact, they banned it before any states did.

Darling Husband has known of guys getting busted for it on base.  There have been big spice rings going on.  Due to his job, everyone is routinely drug tested and apparently spice does show up on the tests they are able to do (at least from what I understand).  They aren’t even allowed to buy OTC drugs at a pharmacy… they can only get medication from the doctor on base, so spice is a huge deal right now!

I’ve know ppl who have used it and it causes more side effects than weed.
