Sooo I am British and hubz is Japanese we live in Japan and will be raising the baby in japan, so we don’t want a katakana name, mainly because of descrimination, but also because katakana massacres English names. However husband (and I a little) don’t really like any straight up Japanese names, because they are hard for the British family to pronounce or the standard like ken, Tomo etc aren’t our cup of tea.
right now (boys)we are be between Kian and yuan (Ewan) because they work in both and are a little bit different. But we can’t find a kanji we like for an. Husband v-toed 安 which I like , 編 was his suggestion but I don’t like the meaning…
girls, we agreed on cara but we want the reading to be かあら. Husband said 華蘭but I think it will be read as karan and our sir name is usually miss read a lot, so I don’t feel ok with it.
suggestions for kanji for Kian yuan or cara would be appreciated! X
