It’s 100% satire and it’s pretty funny.

It’s definitely a joke.  However, I’m 38 weeks pregnant and actually did have a stranger comment to me yesterday that “It must be nice now that the royal baby is born and your friends/family are able to pay attention to your baby again”.  I thought that was pretty funny, since I’m fairly certain the baby they actually will have a relationship with has been front of mind all along.

It’s a joke. I wish it were real though, just so I could be a fly on the wall and watch the chaos! 😉

I like it. Could’ve been written by a bee, IMO. *ducks*

I can’t believe that a real person would write this…It’s obsessive.

Haha, it’s definitely satire. Ever read The Onion?

WELP! WE’VE BEEN HAD, BEES!

Is it scary that a satire piece sounds similar enough to a vent post that satire goes over our heads? Oh boy.

I think its hysterical!

It was written by a guy so I don’t think we need to be worried here!

Unfortunately, I can see this being far from a joke.  I know someone who thinks this way.  Just doesn’t have the balls to write it out for everyone to see.

This woman is INSANE.

Lmao, they got married right before my husband and I did, and they had their baby the month after – I just think of it as good timing 😛

But yeah this says it was posted by “Ian” so I’m guessing it is satire.

@SapphireSun:  haha I had someone post on my facebook that “the royals beat you to it” … I’m like, yeah, that’s kind of how time works. It passes at the same speed for everyone, which means that the person who gets pregnant first usually gives birth first … I would be pretty concerned if they DIDN’T beat me since that would mean my baby being born 11 weeks early o_O

Do you guys seriously not realize this is fiction? Shouts&Murmurs is a wildy famous sattire section of the new yorker, not to mention that it clearly says “daily humor”

i swear, people, you wouldn’t pass a 5th grade reading comprehension test!
